The total number of Dengue Patients reported from the island during last seven and half months of this year[2016] has exceeded the number of Dengue Patients reported during last year (2015) according to the Epidemiology Unit.Accordingly 29,777 Dengue Patients have been reported from the island last year and during last seven and half months of this year the number of Dengue Patients reported is 34,773 patients.
The highest number of Dengue Patients reported this year in a single month , 9910 patients have been reported from the month of July.During the first 15 days of this month 1604 Dengue Patients have been reported from the island the Epidemiology Unit has stated.
