Police have removed residents of 10
houses located at New waliBangala area in Norwood today due to a Landslide threat in the area as a result of heavy showers prevailing in.
Around 03 houses had damaged due to the Collapsing of Soil Mounds in the area already and as a result Police have removed 10 families to avoid similar incidents it has been revealed.

Police Headquarters Launched An Inquiry over Magalkande Sudantha Thero 's Complaint
Police Headquarters have launched an
inquiry on the complaint made by Magalkande Sudantha Thero saying few Officers attached to Colombo Crimes Division (CCD)having a relationship with the Drug smuggler KanjipanI Imran who is under detention of CCD according to Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekare .
An inquiry over the complaint is being conducted by Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police and a senior Superintendent of Police in Western Province he has stressed.
If proved that any officer of the CCD having a relationship with the Drug smuggler a severe disciplinary action will be taken against that officer Police Media Spokesman has stressed.

A Minor Flood Situation Risk At Seven Divisional Secretariets
Due to the rising water levels of Kalu
River at milladeniya area a minor flood situation may have occurred in seven Divisional Secretariets according to Irrigation Department.
Accordingly people living in low land areas belonging to Palindanuwara ,Ingiriya ,Kiriella ,Bulathsinghala ,Madurawala,MillaNiya and Kalutara Divisional Secretariets should be vigilant over Possible floods the Department has stressed .
Meanwhile water levels of Kalu and Nilvala rovers are rising at Ratnapura and Panadugama areas respectively it has been reported .
The increased water levels of Kelani and GIn rivers are being decreased according to reports.

National Building Research Organization (NBRO) had extended the landslide warnings issued for Ratnapura,Kegalle and Nuwara-Eliya Districts yesterday (13) until midnight tonight (14) it has been announced.
NBRO had yesterday issued landslide warnings for Kuruwita,Ehaliyagoda Elapatha and Kiriella Divisional Secretaries of Ratnapura District ,Bulathkohupitiya ,yatiyanthot and Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariats of Kegalle District and Kothmale ,Ambagamuwa and Nuwara Eliya Divisional Secretariats of Nuwara Eliya District .

A Person Died After Collapsing A Soil Mound Over Him
A 33 year old Person has died after a soil mound collapsed over him at Nanuoya area(Central Hills) this morning (14) it has been reported .
The person has died after fallen into a Concrete drain at Nuwara-Eliya Hatton main road following the soil mound collapse it has been revealed.
The soil mound collapse occurred as a result of heavy showers prevailing in central hills these days .
Nanu Oya police have sent the body of the deceased to the Nuwara Eliya Base Hospital for the Magisterial inquiry .

LIOC Increased Petrol And Diesel Prices
Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC)had
increased the prices of Octane -95 and Super Diesel by Rs.4 and Rs.3 per A Liter respectively with effective from today (14)according to LIOC .
However the prices of Octane -92 Petrol and Auto Diesel will not be changed according to LIOC .
The price increase has done after the monthly price revision implemented by Ceylon Petroleum Corporation over Petrol and Diesel since midnight yesterday(13 ) .
