Coast Guard Ship "Sherman"Arrived In Colombo Harbour

US Coast guard Ship "Sherman" which
is due to be handed over to Sri Lanka Navy to expand it's missions had arrived in Colombo Harbor today  (12).

The 115 meter long  Coast Guard ship "Sherman" owned by US Navy will be the largest ship owned by Navy it has been revealed.

It wil be used for rescue operations, Search missions and to.protect ocean resources according to Navy

Two Hand Grenades And Five Deternators Recovered Near Soyza pura Flats

Two hand Grenades and Five
Deternators have been recovered from a ground near Soyza pura flats in Ratmalana today  (13)during a joint search operation carried out by Police and Airforce personal in the area .

Forces believes someone may have left them in the area.No arrests were made in this regard and investigations regarding the incident are underway .

Curfew Imposed In Kuliyapitiya, Bingiriya And Dummalasuriya Areas

Police Curfew has been imposed in
Kuliyapitiya ,Bingiriya and Dummalasuriya Police areas with immediate effect until 6 a.m tomorrow (13)according to Police Media Spokesman's office.

The curfew has been imposed in these areas to control the tense situation occurred it has been announced.

Stern action will be taken against those who are violating Curfew order according to Police.

We Are Not Protecting Any One Related To Easter Sunday Attacks -Prime Minister

We are not protecting any person
related to Easter Sunday bombings and if there are charges against any of the Ministers and MP's in the government  regarding the attacks  people can complain on them ,Prime Minister  Ranil Wikramasinghe has said today (12).

Addressing during a function held in Kalpitiya  regarding presenting of 920 land deads to families in five Divisional Secretariet s  today Prime Minister has  stressed that due to the bombings People lost trust on government and politicians ."Tense situation also  Occured in political enviornment .We will not protect anyone related to the attacks "Premier  has stressed. 

Sain't Sebastians Church Katuwapitiya Which Was Attacked On Easter Sunday Conducted It's First Sunday Mass

First Sunday mass of the Katuwapitiya Saint Sebastians Church which damaged severley due to the Easter Sunday bombings, held this morning (12)after a lapse of three weeks .

Out of the Two Churches attacked by Suicide Bomber's on Easter Sunday Saint Sebastians Church is the first one to conduct  a Sunday mass.The church was repaired by forces during last three weeks.

Those who have injured due to the Suicide bomb attack at the church and relatives of who have killed  due to  the attack were present at the mass .

Defense Forces Not Confirmed On Any Planned Attack -Police Media Spokesman

have not confirmed regarding any planned extremist attack tomorrow (13)Police Media Spokesman  SP Ruwan Gunasekare has revealed today during a press briefing held at the Ministry Of Defense in Colombo.

Meanwhile Defense Secretary General Shantha KotteGoda has stressed that there's no truth behind rumors spreading regarding attack tomorrow .

Textile Trader Hasmar Hameed Who Caused Tense Situation In Chilaw Had Been Arrested And Hospitalized

The tense situation occurred in Chilaw
Town today (12)due to a Facebook post published by Chilaw based Textile trader Hasmar Hameed saying "Don't laugh more -1 day you will cry "amidst fears of another planned extremist attack rumoured to  Occured tomorrow (13)it has been revealed.

The Facebook contacts of the trader  Hameed thought he is saying something related to the planned attack and protested in front of Chilaw Police station against it  and later attacked Hameed and his shop in Chilaw .

As a result  Chilaw Police have imposed a curfew in the town area until 6 a.m tomorrow (13) to calm the situation .However later Police have announced the curfew will be lifted  at 4 a.m tomorrow .

Police have arrested the trader Hameed who caused the tense situation through his Facebook post with injuries at his shop and he was hospitalized under Police protection it has been reported.

A Person Has been arrested in Chilaw by the Police this noon (12)over publishing a post regarding creating disunity among races according to Police.

Earlier a group of persons have protested Infront of Chilaw Police demanding to take action regarding a planned attack mentioned in the Facebook post .

Meanwhile an organized group had broken the wall of a House maintained as a prayer center in Chilaw binging to Thowheeth Jamaath group and smashed the windows of the House it has been reported.

Police and Army have dispersed the protesters and tightened the security in the area whilst Police curfew is on.

Two Persons Were Killed And Three Injured Due To Jeep-Bus Collision

Two persons had been killed and Three
others had been injured and hospitalized due to a jeep-Sri Lanka Transport Board Bus Collision at Mahalwarawa Junction  in Kottawa this morning (12).

Five  Injured petsons including the Jeep driver  had been admitted to Homagama Hospital and two of them had succumbed to their injuries after admission .

The deceased were  33 and 36 year old residents of Negambo area and incident occurred when the Jeep driver unable to control the speed of the vehicle travelling from Maharagama to Kottawa according to reports.

However Kottawa Police have arrested the Bus driver regarding the incident. 

President Sirisena To Leave China Tomorrow (13) For A Conference

President Maithripala Sirisena is
schedule to leave China tomorrow (13)to attend a" Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilzations to be inaugurated on this Wednesday  (15) in Beijing, China it has been reported.

President is due to meet with Chinese President and Prime Minister during his visit, However political and diplomatic circles here questioned the urgency of President's sudden departure to China amidst the present security situation in the country .

As President himself holds the Defense Minister post it's still not clear whether he has appointed an acting Defense Minister prior to his departure .At the time of the Easter Sunday bombings too President was in Singapore and he didn't appoint an acting Defense Minister prior to his departure to Singapore via India according to the reports .

After the bombings Prime Minister was not allowed to convene the National Security Council meeting under the  instructions of President  reports have  said.

President is due to be returned to Country on this Thursday  (16)it has been revealed.Around 2000 officials and representatives of 47 Asian Countries are due to participate the conference in.China.

Police Curfew Imposed In Chilaw Due To A Tense Situation

Police curfew has been imposed in
Chilaw Town area short while ago  until 6 a.m tomorrow (13)following a tense situation occurred amongst a group of youth following a post appeared in Facebook regarding another extremist attack .

A group of youth had protested in front of Chilaw Police Headquarters requesting take  steps to prevent another extremist attack after seen the Facebook post and later the group had told the shop owners in the town to close their shops it has been revealed.

Army personal have fired gun shots to air to disperse the group and Chilaw Police officers too assisted the Army in this regard. However all shops in the town had been closed due to the incident.

Police and Army are being deployed in Chilaw Town to provide security.
