Another 19 Delta Variant Positives Had Been Identified From Three Districts

Around 19 persons infected with Delta Corona variant had been identified by the researchers attached to Sri jayawaradanapura University in Colombo after testing samples collected from Navy personal it has been announced today (15) ,

Accordingly these Delta Variant positive persons had been identified from Colombo .Kilinochchi and Jaffna districts and with these positives the total number of Delta variant positives identified in Sri Lanka had been increased to 38 it has been revealed ,However there may be hundreds and thousands of persons infected with Delta variant living throughout the island the Health Officials had stated ,

Steps had been taken to tracing contacts of these positives it has been revealed ,

Few Train Journeys Had Been Cancelled As Few Railway Department Employees Tested Positive For Corona Virus

Few Train journeys scheduled for this evening (15) had been cancelled after few railway Department employees had been tested positive for corona virus according to Sri Lanka Railways Department ,

Contact tracing is underway to find out the contacts of all those Railway employees who had tested positive for corona virus and perform them "with PCR tests the Railways Department has stated ,

Another 50 Coroan Deaths Reported Today (15)

A total of 50 Corona deaths had been reported today (15) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 3661 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center ,

Accordingly 29 males and 21 females had died due to the Covid Pneumonia and Complications related to non communicable diseases suffered by them as a result of Corona infection ,

Out of the deceased 38 were of the ages over 60 years .

Meanwhile 41 Corona Deaths reported yesterday (14).

1447 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (15)

Another 1447 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (15) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 280,543 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .
