Attorney General Had Filed Indictments Against Nine Suspects Including MP Hirunika Premachandra Over An Abduction
The Attorney General has today (07) indicted nine persons including Colombo District MP Hirunika Premachandra over the abduction of a youth in Dematagoda Area.
The Attorney General has filed the indictments against the suspects over 29 counts it has been reported.
The suspects were charged over an abduction of a youth Amila Priyanga in Dematagoda.The suspects were earlier released on bail after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate Court.

Pakistani Air Force Chief Has Arrived In Sri Lanka For An Official Visit
The chief of the Pakistani Air Force Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman has arrived in Sri Lanka today (07) for a two day official visit .
The Pakistani Air Force chief has arrived in Sri Lanka as per the invitation of Sri Lanka's Commander of the Air Force Air Vice Marshal G.P Bulathsinghale.
During his stay in the country Pakistani Air Force chief is scheduled to meet President Maithripala Sirisena ,Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe and top Military Officers in the country and hold discussions it has been reported.

Two Line Rooms belonging to estate workers have been damaged due to a sudden fire occurred at a Line Rooms Scheme in Lakshapanawatte,Nallathanniya Area it has been reported.
The Nallathanniya Police with the help of residents in the area had doused the fire before spreading it further.
The value of the total loss caused by the fire has not yet been estimated And Nallathanniya Police are conducting an investigations on the incident.

Navy Personal Have Detained Seven Local Fishermen While Engaging In Illegal Fishing
Sri Lanka Navy Personal have detained seven local fishermen while engaging in illegal fishing at the seas off Kumburupiddi in Kuchchaveli area by using banned fishing nets it has been reported.
The Navy Personal have also taken into custody the boat that the fishermen were in and banned fishing nets in possesssion of them.
The detained fishermen and their equipment were handed over to the Kuchchaveli Police for future course of action.

Crucial Talks Due To Be Held Today (07) Between Joint University Trade Alliance And State Minister Of Higher Education Postponed
The crucial talks due to be held today (07)between the representatives of the Joint University Trade Union Alliance and the State Minister Of Higher Education Mohan Lal Grero regarding the ongoing strike of the University Non Academic Staff had been postponed until tomorrow (08) due to an unavoidable circumstances according to the Ministry.

A Female Was Killed And Three Others Got Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Three Wheeler-Bus Collision At Kahawatte
A female was killed and three others were injured and hospitalized due to a Three Wheeler colliding with a Bus at Kahawatte along the Palmadulla-Embilipitiya Road last evening according to the Police.
The injured were admitted to the Kahawatte Hospital for treatment and the remains of the deceased are being kept in the same hospital for Autopsy.
Kahawatte Police have detained the driver of the Bus and conducting further investigations on the incident.

Four Persons With 2303 Mobiles And Tabs Were Detained At Katunayake Airport
Special Task Force Personal (STF)attached to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport have today (07) detained four persons who attempted to smuggle in 2303 mobile phones and tabs worth over Rs.20 million to Sri Lanka.
The suspects who have hidden the stock of mobile phones and tabs in their luggage were detained by STF Personal at the main entrance of the Airport.
The Airport Customs Officers are investigating the incident further.
