A 17 Year Old School Girl Had Committed Suicide Over Her O/L Results
A 17 year old school girl studied at
Valllipulam School in Pudukuduirippu area at Mulathivu had committed suicide yesterday(28)by jumping in to a well due to not satisfying the results she had received from the G.C.E Ordinary level examination it has been reported.
G.C.E Ordinary Level Examination results of 2017 had issued last evening (28).
The deceased girl had lived with her grandmother according to reports.
Mulathivu Police are conducting an investigations on the incident.

A Female Was Critically Injured After Being Running Over By A Bus
A female was critically injured and
hospitalized after being running over by the Sri Lanka Transport Board Bus this evening(29) at the Ginigathhena Bus Stand.
The critically injured female who had faced the incident while purchasing goods from.a trade stall at the Bus Station ,was admitted to the Ginigathhena Provincial Hospital and later transferred to the Nawalapitiya Base Hospital for further treatment.
Ginigathhena Police had arrsted the Bus driver over the inciden

Consideration Of The Revised Bail Application Submitted By Arjun Aloysius And Kasun Palisena Has Been Postponed Until 18 th Of May
Court of Appeal has been postponed the hearing of the revised bail application filed by chief suspects of Central Bank Bond scam Arjun Alosiyas and Kasun Palisena of Perpetual Treasuries until 18 th of May , today(29) .
The hearing of the revised Bail Application submitted by two suspects has been postponed after it was taking in to consideration today by the two judge panel comprising of President of Court Of Appeal Prethi Padman Surasena and Judge Shiran Gunaratne .
Meanwhile the imprisoned two bond scam suspects were further remanded until 12 th of April by the Colombo fort Magistrate today.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Has Issued A Warrent To Arrest Arjun Mahendran For The Second Time

Jayaratne has today(29)issued arrest warrant to arrest and produced the chief suspect of Central Bank Bond Scam the former Central Bank Governor Arjun Aloysius who is in abroad .
Aloysius who was in Singapore is believed to be lives in Brussels,Belgium by avoiding Sri Lankan Court it has een revealed.
In an previous occassion too Colombo Fort Magistrate had issued an arrest warrant to arrest Arjun Mahendran ,However authorities failed to arrest him.
Meanwhile Additional Solicitor General Yasantha Kodagoda had informed the court Today that a red notice is due to be issued to arrest Mahendran through International Police.

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Motorcycle-Bus Collision
A 23 year old person was killed after the Motorcycle he was
riding in colliding with a Private Bus at sixth post in Uduwara area
last night (28).
The accident occurred when the Private Bus
driver attempting to over take a Motor Car traveling in front of the
Bus and as the result the Motorcycle arrived in from opposite direction
collided with the Bus according to the Police.A Male And A Female Were Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin
Godakawela Police have arrested a male and a female with 04 Grammes
and 20 Mili Grammes of Heroin in their possession at Balawinna area in
Godakawela this morning(29).
The suspects are residents of
Pitipana and Kosgama areas.They are due to be produced before the

Retired former Army Colonel Alfred Wijethunge was arrested in Galle by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) last evening (28) in connection with the investigations on Avant Garde floating armory carry out by the CID.
The suspect had been remanded until 09th of April by the Galle Magistrate Court today (29) after being produced before the Magistrate.
The suspected former Army Colonel was in charge of the Avant Garde Floating Armory during the previous government.

Police Inspector Neomal Rangajeewa Arrested Over The Killings Of 27 Welikada Prison Inmates Had Been Remanded
Police Inspector Neomal Rangajeewa attached to the Police Anti Narcotic Bureau who was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over the killing of 27 prison inmates and injuring several other inmates attached to Welikada Prison in 2012 during a riot ,had been remanded until 10th of April by the Colombo Additional Magistrate today(29).
Colombo Additional Magistrate had also remanded the Prison Commissioner Emil Ranjan Lamahewa until 10th of April over the same charges.Both the suspects have been produced before the Colombo Additional Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake today.
However as both suspects were admitted to the Prisons Hospital due to complaints on poor health after taking in to custody ,Additional Magistrate has ordered the Prisons Commissioner to get a health report from the Judicial Medical Officer regarding health status of the suspects.He had also ordered the authorities to provide maximum security for both suspects as requested by their lawyers.

Perakum Collage In Vavuniya Had Closed Due To A Wasps Nest
Parakum Collage in Vavuniya had closed temporarily today(29) due to a provoking of a Wasp Nest in the school premises it has been reported.
Due to this situation School Children who went to the School this morning to sit their term test had returned home.
Educational Authorities had not taken steps to remove the Wasps Nest although they were informed on this on several occasions, the School authorities have stated.
