New Trend Of Injecting Genes Which Can Cause Cholesterol To Vegetables And Fruits-Health Minister
There's a new trend of injecting Genes which cause Cholesterol to Fruits and Vegetables locally according to Minister of Health,Nutrition And Indigenous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne .Even the Green Chilies we are using to prepare food contained these genes Health Minister has said.
"The Vegetable and Fruit Seeds distribute among farmers by the Agriculture Department too are injected with these Genes which cause Cholesterol .The Drug Companies are now on Vegetable and Fruit manufacturing Business and they are behind this .It's not ethical for Drug Companies to involve in Vegetable and Fruit Manufacturing Process.It's a new Mafia created by Drug Companies who were the founders of Drug Mafia" the Minister has stressed.
Health Minister has revealed this while addressing the Professor Senaka Bibile Commemorative Programnme held at BMICH recently.

Police Naval Officers Have Arrested Nine Persons Who Have Disposed Garbage To Kelaniya River

The Nine Persons detained were later released on bail and they are due to be produced before the court on 07th of December .
Police Commission To Take Disciplinary Action On 10th Of December Against Police Officers Those Responsible For Attacking HNDA Students
There's a special meeting scheduled to be held regarding police attacks on HNDA Students on 10th of December and after the meeting a Disciplinary Action will be taken against Police Officers from Chief Superintendent to Higher Rank Officers who were identified as responsible for attacking HNDA Students the Commission has announced.
Human Rights Commission Has Recommended Police To Pay Compensation For HNDA Students Who Were Injured Due To Police Attack
Due to this situation Human Rights Commission has recommended the Police to pay Rs.25,000 compensation to the female HNDA Student who was brutally attacked by a police officer during the protest and currently receiving treatment at a Hospital and Rs.15,000 compensation each for 8 other HNDA Students who were wounded due to police attack.
The Commission has also recommended to take disciplinary action against the police officers who were responsible for attacking students.
The Police Commission has also launched an investigation on the Police Attack against HNDA Students and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has also appointed a Committee headed by
Dr.B.M.S Batagoda to investigate on the attack.

The OIC of the Crimes Division in Narahenpita Police has been arrested on 27 of November for the same bribery case.
The Crimes Division OIC has been arrested by Bribery Commission Officials while accepting a Bribe of Rs.2.5 million from a Doctor .
