Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksha has denied four allegations levelled against him by the Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith regarding the Easter Sunday attacks.

Seven Persons including a samall.child have died and twenty were injured and hospitalized due to.a Motor car participated a Motor cross rally at Foxhill in Diyathalawa skidded off the track and colliding with a group of spectators yesterday (21).

The Water Supplies and Drainage Board has decided to implement a 12 hour long water vut in sevwral areas of Gampaha District on next Wednsday(24) it has been announcrd.

A 65 Year Old Person Died Due To Lightning
A 65 year old person died last Monday(15)aftet being struck by lightning whilst working in his field at Kotiyagala area at Ethimale (Monaragala District).
Meanwhile the Department of Meteorology has stated that heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mili meters will be experienced in several provinces of the island including Western,Sabaragsmwa and North western provinces.
Founder Of Sarvodaya Movement Dr A,T Ariyaratne Passed Away
The founder of the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement of Sri Lanka Dr.A.T Ariyaratne has passed away at the age of 92 years.
Born on 05th of November 1931 Dr.Ariyaratne began his career as a high school teacher in Nalanda Collage . He has conducted the first Shramadana Camp in 1958 which lead to the establishment of the largest non government Organization Sarvodaya Movement.He is recognized worldwide due to.his meditation and family gathering programmes.

Navy Have Arrested 10 Persons With 200 KG Of Narcotics
Sri Lanka Navy have arrested 10 persons in possession of 200 Kilo grammes of Heroin and Ice narcotics in deep seas at Southern Province yesterday (12).
Navy had also taken
custody the two multiday boats used to transport the narcotics it has been reported.

Cabinet Approved A Proposal Allowing Students To Study MBBS At Koralawala,Defense University
Cabinet had approved a proposal which allows the Sri Lankan students to pursue medical degrees(MBBS) at the General Sir John Kotalawala Defense University.Accordingly the local students can enroll in the Medical degree programme on a payment basis.
Admission for this Medical degree programme will be based on a combination of the A level Z score and other relevent Qualifications according to the Department of Government Information.

Sri Lanka Navy have arrested 08 Persons Over the illegal harvesting of Sea Cucumber during a Search operation carried out in the sea and beach areas of Nagar Kovil in Kilinochchi district on last Tuesday(09).

Newly Constructed Flyover Bridge In Slave Island Opened For Traffic
The newly constructed Flyover bridge at Slave Island which is connected to Justice Akbar Road and Uttarankanda Road has been opened by the President Ranil Wikramasinghe yesterday(18).

Kerosene oil was leaked in to a road after a Bowser carrying Kerosene oil had toppled over at Wilgamuwa,Elavanakanda area in Matale District .

Fuel Prices Revised By Ceypetco/LIOC And Sinopec
The Prices of Fuel including that of Kerosene oil had been revised by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.(CEYPETCO) ,Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) and,Sinopec company with effect from.midnight yesterday (01) it has been announced.
Accordingly the price of Petrol.95-Octane has been reduced by Rs.7 to Rs.440per aLiter ,Price of a,Liter of Super Diesel has been reduced by rRs.72to Rs.386 per Liter.The Price of Kerosene oil reduced by Rs.12 to Rs . 245 per a liter .The prices of Petrol 92-Octane and Auto Diesel will remain unchanged according to Ceypetco.
Litro /Laugfs Gas Prices Slashed From Yesterday (01)
Prices of Litro and Laugfs domestic LP Gas Cylinders had been reduced with effect from Midnight yesterday(01) the Litro and Laugfs Gas Companies have announced.
Accordingly the Price of the 12.5 KG Litro Gas Cylinder has been reduced by Rs.135 to Rs.4115,The price of 05 Kilo gramme Cylinder has been reduced by Rs.55 to Rs.1652 and the 2.3 Kilo gramme Cylinder reduced by Rs.23 to Rs.772.
According to the LAUGFS Gas Companythe 12.5 KG Gas Cylinder has been reduced by Rs.625 and the Price of a 05 KG Cylinder reduced by Rs.248 to Rs.1652 .

A Probe On The Patient Who Died After Administering A Vaccine
The Ministry Of Health has launched an imvestigation on the death of a 50 year old paitient in Ragama Teaching Hospital after being administered Co-Amoxiclav"vaccine recently according to the Ministry Sources.
