and the father had been injured and hospitalized after the Motor Car they were travelling in colliding with a Bus at Minneriya on Polonnaruwa -Habarana main road today (23).

The injured father had been admitted to Habarana Base Hospital for treatment .

New Extension Of Southern Expressway From Matara -Hambanthota Has Been Inaugurated

The newly constructed extension of the

Southern Expressway from Matara -Godagama to Mattala,Hambanthota has been inaugurated under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapakshe and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe this evening  (23) at Palatuwa Inter exchange center .

The new extension is 96 Kilo meters long and built under four phases .

This new Extension will help Passangers of Katunayake to reach Hambanthota in southern Province  within two hours it has been reported

Passangers Arriving In South Korea To Be Screened For Corona Virus As The Virus Outbreak Escalated In That Country

As the Corona virus outbreak escalated 

in South Korea all the Passangers arriving in from there will be subjected for special screening on  corona virus at the Health Unit of the Katunayake International Airport according to Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe.

These Passangers will be undergoing a 14 day quarantine process also he has stated.

Meanwhile some factories in South Korea where Sri Lankan workers are working had been shutdown temporarily due to the spreading of Corona virus it has been reported waked.

Sri Lankan Embassy in South Korean  capital Seoul had advised those Sri Lankan employees to stay indoors and so far no Sri Lankan in South Korea had caught the virus according to the Embassy .

Around 20,000 Sri Lankans are being employed in South Korea at present and out of them 915 are being located at Daegu where the majority of South Korean corona virus infected persons had been reported .

Sri Lankan Embassy in Seoul is keep in touch with the Sri Lankans in Korea and spread information to them regarding guidelines should be followedited  to prevent getting infected  the  virus . 

Five Persons Had Been Killed -Twenty Injured Due To Bus -Jeep Collision

Five Persons had been killed and

twenty persons had been injured and hospitalized due to a CTB Bus -Jeep Collision Occured at pandikeidakulam in Vavuniya -Omanthai area on Jaffna A-9 road few hours ago .

The injured had been admitted to Vavuniya General Hospital for treatment.

Due to the Collision both the Bus and the Jeep had caught fire and the Jeep driver and two Passangers had been killed on the spot as a result .

The incident occurred when a Jaffna -Colombo bound Ceylon Transport Board (CTB )Bus collided with Vavuniya -Point padro bound jeep it has been revealed.

Fire brigade of the Vavuniya urban council had doused the fire erupted as a result of the incident .
