Hambanthota Magistrate Issued A Court Order Against Tomorrow's Protest In Hambanthota
Hambanthota Magistrate Court has issued a court
order to Joint opposition parliamentariens Namal Rajapakshe and D.V Chanaka preventing holding a protest campaign within Hambanthota Judicial area by blocking roads tomorrow (06).
The two Joint Opposition MP's have organized a protest campaign in Hambanthota tomorrow (06)against selling of Mattala International Airport and Hambanthota port to India and China.
Hambanthota Magistrate Manjula Karunaratne has issued the court order against two MP's yesterday (04)as per requested by police.
According to the court order holding a protest campaign by blocking the roads lead to Indian consular office and Hambanthota port had also banned through the court order.
However the organizers of the protest campaign have decided to go ahead with the protest while accepting the court order.
Three Police Officers Attached To Divulapitiya Police Including OIC Have Been Transferred Over A Sudden Death Of A Prisoner
Three police officers attached to the Divulapitiya
Police station including the OIC have been transferred to Paliyagoda police station with imediatte effect over the suspicious death of a prisoner at Negambo prison last evening (04).
Accordingly Divulapitiya police OIC,A sub inspector and a police constable attached to the police station have been transferred it has been reported.
The prisoner Gamini Edward has died due to multiple internal injuries it has been revealed during his post mortum held in Negambo Hospital.
The suspect was arrested by the Divulapitiya police over a robbery on 03rd of september and after being produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate Court he had been remanded until 10th of this month.
However due to an illness he was admitted yesterday to the prison ward and as his condition becomes critical he was transferred to the negambo hospital where he had succumbed to his injuries on admission.

Sri Lanka Navy have arrested four Indian fishermen
along with a fishing trawler with equipment ,while engaging in illegal fishing in Sri Lankan waters at western coastal sea area of Delft Island .
The arrested Indian fishermen and the trawler with an equipment were handed over to the assistant fisheries director in Jaffna for future course of action.

Eight Students Injured Due To A Brawl In Kelaniya University
Eight students attached to the Kelaniya University
have been injured and hospitalized last evening (04)due to a brawl occurred between two student groups of the university which led to the closure of the University's faculties.
The brawl occurred when the science faculty students union opposed to the directions of General students union of the university on removing banners displayed regarding the on going exhibition held in Science faculty to mark it' s 50th anniversary.
Following the brawl eight injured students have been admitted to the Kiribathgoda Base Hospital and six of them later discharged after treatment.

All The Faculties Other Than Medical Faculty Of Kelaniya University Closed Down
All the faculties other than medical faculty attached to
the Kelaniya University have been closed down today(05) indefinitely due to a brawl occurred between two student groups belonginging to general students union of the university and science faculty students union .
