Kerosene Oil Bowser Toppled Over The Road

 Kerosene oil was leaked in to a road after a Bowser carrying Kerosene oil had toppled over at Wilgamuwa,Elavanakanda area  in Matale District .


The Bowser belongs to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco ) was toppled over the road whilst transporting Kerosene Oil from Dambulla to Wilgamuwa area in Matale District.

Govt.Workers Salaries To Be Paid Before 10Th Of April Be

 The Government Workers salaries for the Month of April is scheduled to be paid before 10th of April with the increased Rs.10,000


allowance according to the Ministry of Finance..

Two Persons Drowned Whilst Bathing In A River

Two Persons were drowned whilst bathing with a group of oersons  in callbanda  River in Kabithigollawa,Anuradhapura District yesterday(06)it has been reported.Police have suspected that  the deceased  may have under the influence of liquor at the time of the incident.


The deceased were identified as 38 and 58 year old persons resided in Piliyandala area.

Hingurakgoda Air Port To Be Converted In To An International Airport

Government is planning to convert the Hingurakgoda Domestic Airport into an International Airport according to the Ministry of Ports,Shipping and Aviation.


Known as RAF Minneriya ,The Airport served as a Stratagic Base for the Royal Air force of England during the World War  2 the Ministry has stated.From 2024 Budget a sum of RS.2 billion has  been allocated for the initial construction and development activities of the Air Port project it has been revealed.

Actress Damitha Abeyratne And Her Husband Were Arrested And Remanded

 The Colombo Fort Magistrate has ordered to remand the Sri Lankan Actress Damitha Abeyratne and her husband Johnson until 17th of April over a financial scam.Actress Damitha and her husband were jailed after being produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court yesterday (05).


Both of them were arrested by the Crininal Investigations Department (CID) on last Wednesday(03)  over the charge of  taking Rs.3 million from persons by promising them job opportunities  in Korea.Previously Colombo Fort Magistrate has banned  Both Actress Daamitha Abeyratne and her husband from travelling abroad
