Bakery Owners Had Dropped The Increased Price Of Bread

Image result for breadAll Ceylon Bakery Owners Association had scrapped the recent price hike of a 450 Gramme Bread Loaf by Rs.2 and began selling it for the old price with effect from  midnight yesterday (12).

The price of Bread has been increased by Rs.2 with effective from midnight last Friday (06)by the All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association following the announcement made by Prima and Serendib Flour Companies that they have increased the price of a Kilo Gramme of Wheat Flour by Rs. 5.50 .

However after the flour companies agreed to sell the Wheat flour for old price Bakery Owners Association too has decided to sell the Bread for old price it has been revealed.

As the price hike of Wheat Flour was  made without the permission of Consumer Affairs Authority ,The authority had raided and nabbed several traders throughout the island who have sold Wheat flour for the increased price .

A Mother And Son Had Been Killed ,Another Two Of The Family Injured Due To Van -Train Collision

A Mother and one of her  Sons  had
been killed and the father and other son of the same family had been injured and hospitalized after the Van they were travelling in colliding with a Train travelling from AluthGama to Galle at a Railway crossing  in  thotawatte, Kandegoda of AmbalanGoda this evening (12).

The deceased Mother and Son whom were of the ages 50 and 23 years respectively had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Balapitiya Base Hospital for treatment. They were residents of wathugedara in AmbalanGoda.

The father and other son of the family had been admitted to Balapitiya Base Hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred when the van attempted cross the Railway line at the time Train has arrived in it has been revealed .
