UPFA Exco Meeting And SLFP Party Organizer s Meeting To Be Held This Morning (24)
The executive committee meeting of
United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and Party Organizer s meeting of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP)are scheduled to be held this morning (24) under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.
Accordingly the Executive committee meeting of the UPFA will be held at 8.30 a.m this morning at President's official residence in Colombo and SLFP Party Organizer s meeting will be held at 9.30 a.m at Presidential Secretariet in Colombo.
The future activities and reconstruction work will be discussed during these meetings it has been revealed.

A Detainee Had Committed Suicide In Kuruwita Prison
A 22 year old detainee in Kuruwita
Prison who was arrested over a narcotic charges had committed suicide by hanging himself inside the prison cell last Satirday (22) evening according to Police .
The Prison inmate had succumbed to his injuries on admission to Ratnapura Hospital.
The deceased was a resident of Ruwanwella area .

A Begger Was Killed By Another Begger
A Begger was killed due to an assault by
another Beggger near Kuruwita Bus Stand last Saturday (22)night according to Police .
A dispute occurred among two Beggars had caused the assault it has been revealed.The critically injured Begger had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Ratnapura Hospital .
Kuruwita Police are investigating on to arrest the Begger who was responsible for the death.

A Drug Shortage In Apeksha Hospital To Be Solved Tomorrow (24)

"Apeksha "Hospital(Cancer Hospital ) will be solved by tomorrow (24)according to Ministry Of Health.
Around 07 Cancer Drugs are out of stock in Apeksha Hospital since few weeks and as a result Admitting new patients to the Hospital had been temporary halted on last friday (21) according to reports.
However as Minister Of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has promised the Hospital authorities that steps will be taken to supply the seven out of stock cancer drugs to the Hospital by this Monday, Admitting Patients to Apeksha Hospital has resumed it has been reported .
One Out-of stock drug is scheduled to supply after purchasing it from a local agent and A part of another Cancer Drug out of stock at the moment is scheduled to be airlifted by tomorrow (24).
There are around 71 Drugs out of stock in Government Hospitals these days and the drug shortage has been created due to not purchasing them during the constitutional crisis period as a result of not issuing funds to purchase drugs.

A Fire Erupted In A Furniture Shop Store In Colombo Had Been Doused
Fire fighters have doused a fire erupted
in a Furniture Shop store in Vauxual Street ,Colombo -02 this morning (23).
Seven fire trucks belonging to Colombo Municipal Council and Two Fire Trucks belonging to Sri Lanka Airforce had been utilised to douse the fire .
A Fire fighter had received minor injuries and hospitalized whilst dousing the fire .However he was discharged later.
No casualties had been reported due to the incident and cause of the fire has not yet been revealed .

A Person Was Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin In Maradana
Police officers attached to Colombo
District Anti Corruption Unit have arrested a 41 year old person with 512.51 Grammes of Heroin in his possession near the Maradana Railway station today (23).
The estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken in to custody in possession of the suspect is more than Rs.6 million it has been revealed.
The suspect who is a resident of Grand pass area in Colombo -14 is due to be produced before Maligakanda Magistrate Court tomorrow (24).

Nationals have been injured and hospitalized due to a brawl occured between two groups of Chinese Nationals at a Construction site in Chatham Street ,Colombo Fort yesterday 22).
The injured including Three Sri Lankan Nationals had been admitted to Colombo National Hospital for treatment .
The Brawl had been occurred due to an attempt to handover the Contract of Construction Site to another Chinese National it has been revealed
Colombo Fort Police have arrested 11 Chinese Nationals over the incident.

Nearly 45,000 persons have been
displaced due to floods in Northern Province as a result of heavy showers prevailing in according to reports.
Majority of the displaced persons are residents of Jaffna,Vavuniya ,Mannar and Mulathivu in KilinochchI District.
The security forces along with Officials attached to Disaster Management Center have launched joint search operation to rescue those trapped die to floods in the areas .
Meanwhile President has advised the authorities to take urgent steps to provide relief to displaced persons .A special meeting is scheduled to be taken place between President Sirisena and Government officers including Government Agents of Mulathivu and KilinochchI tomorrow (24)to discuss the relief aid provided to the displaced persons in North.
