Police had fired tear gas and water cannons to disperse a protest march organized by the Inter University Bhikku Students Federation near Town hall last evening (21).
Police had dispersed the Prorest march organized by demanding to expand the recruitment of students to Kelaniya and Peradeniya universities and not to cut pali,sanskrit and Buddhist Philosophy subject streems from universities ,when attempting to enter University Grants Commission premises at Ward place ,Colombo -07 .it has been reported .
