"SAU BAAR JANAM LENGE" (HUNDRAD OF TIMES WE'LL TAKE BIRTH ) SONG FROM THE FILM "USTADON KE USTAD" SCREENED IN 1963
LYRICS-AZAD BHOPALI
MUSIC-RAVI
ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS OF THE SONG LYRICS-
WITH THE LAMPS OF LOYALTY LIT IN THE EYES
PRAY,WHY ARE YOU STRAYING ON THE FORLORN PATHS,
YOU THINK YOU'RE FAR AWAY FROM ME, BUT
I’M RIGHT BEFORE YOU, COME, WALK INTO MY ARMS.
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL TAKE BIRTH,
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL PERISH,
O SWEETHEART, EVEN THEN YOU AND I SHALL NEVER PART.
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL TAKE BIRTH,
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL PERISH...
, PRAY, HOW LONG WILL THE DESTINY HINDER US FROM MEETING?
IN THESE PATHS OF LOVE HOW LONG WILL THE CONSTANCY WANDER?
THE FOOTSTEP-MARKS THEMSELVES WILL BE THE DESTINATION’S CLUE.HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL TAKE BIRTH,
, HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL PERISH,
O SWEETHEART, EVEN THEN YOU AND I SHALL NEVER PART.
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL TAKE BIRTH,
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL PERISH...
WHAT SORT OF GLOOM IS THIS THAT’S CAST ON THE BEAUTY?
WE’RE NOT FAR OFF FROM YOU THOUGH, TO SAY, THERE’S A SEPARATION,
THE TWO LONGING HEARTS SHALL MINGLE AGAIN.
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL TAKE BIRTH,
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL PERISH,
O SWEETHEART, EVEN THEN YOU AND I SHALL NEVER PART.
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL TAKE BIRTH,
HUNDRED OF TIMES WE’LL PERISH... (LYRICS TRANSLATION APPEARED IN NAZIR'S ECLECTIC BLOG)
