Parliament To Meet Two Days Next Week

During Next week Parliament  proceedings will be conducted  only two days according to Government sources ,

Accordingly Parliament  proceedings for next week will be held on 21 st and 22nd of September due to  the current corona pandemic. situation .

ආදරය සැබෑ වන විට එකිනෙකාගෙන් වෙන් වීමක් ගැන සිතීම පවා  අසීරුය ,එසේ වෙන් වීමට සිතනුයේ තම වාසියට ආදරය කිරීමට පෙළඹෙන අය පමණි (උපුටා ගැනිණි )

President Had Instructed IGP To Enforce Law Against Those Violating Quarantine Curfew

 President Gotabhya Rajapakshe has today (17) instructed the Inspector General Of Police (IGP ) to enforce law strictly against those who are violating Anti corona health guidelines and quarantine curfew .

President has issued these instructions to IGP  at  the Covid Control Committee meeting held this morning .

2078 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (17)

 A total of 2078 Corona positives had been reported today (170 ,increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far in the country to 500,772 according to Epidemiology Unit ,

At the moment 59,053 Corona positives are being treated at Government/Private Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and under home care system it has been revealed . 

121 Corona Deaths Reported Today (17)

 Another 121 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (17) ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 11,938 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) ,

Accordingly majority of the deceased   were over 60 years of age DGHS has stated ,

Government Has Extended The Island wide Quarantine Curfew

 Government has today (17) decided to extend the current Island wide quarantine curfew until  04 a,m  on 01st of October as per the recommendation of Medical Specialist of the country the head of the National Covid -19 Prevention Center General Shavendra De Silva has stated .

This decision has been taken during the Covid Control Meeting held to
day under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapakshe he has stressed .

Government has imposed the Island wide Quarantine curfew on 20th of August and had extended weekly unto as per the recommendations of Medical specialists ,
