Landslide Warnings Issued To Three Districts

Image result for landslide warningsAs the water levels of Kalu River and Attanagalu Oya had reached  spill over levels as a result of the continuous rain prevailing in since few days ,The National Building Research Organization(NBRO) had issued landslide warnings to Ratnapura,Kegalle and Kalutara Distrcicts yesterday(03).
Meanwhile due to the heavy showers experiencing since few days to the drought hit areas including Northern Province several roads in these areas are inundated it has been reported.
Heavy showers caused the opening of ,A Sluice gate  of Kukule Ganga(River) yesterday(03) it has been reported.


A Female Was Arrested While Carrying Cannabis To Her Husband

Jaffna police have arrested a female while carrying  a
stock of cannabis to her imprisoned  husband in Jaffna it has been reported.

The female was arrested after prison officers recovering a stock of cannabis in her possession .

The suspected female is due to be produced before the Jaffna Magistrate Court.

Airport Customs Have Arrested A Sri Lankan With Foreign Currency Notes

Airport customs officers have arrested a 44 year old
Sri Lankan national attempting to smuggle  a stock of foreign currency notes worth around Rs.3.7 million to Singapore , at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport last night (02).

Customs officers have recovered a stock of foreign currency notes including US Dollars,Sterlin Pounds and Qatari Riyal concealed inside the luggage of the suspect who is a resident of Colombo.

Later customs officers have confiscated the stock of Foreign currency notes and released the suspect on Rs.100,000 bail.

A Person Was Killed And Twelve Injured Due To A Van-Bus Collision

A person was killed and twelve others have been
injured and hospitalized due to a van they were travelling in collided with a bus at pannampitiya area on Dambulle-Matale main road .

The deceased and injured who were residents of Trincomalee area have faced the incident while return home after attending a funeral it has been revealed.

A Two Year Old Girl Had Drowned And Died While Bathing In A Quarry

A two years and eight months old girl child was
 drowned and died  while bathing in a quarry at ranmalkandiya area in polonnaruwa.

The deceased had faced this incident after visiting her grand mother's house in vijithapura with her sister it has been revealed.

The girl child had transfered to Polonnaruwa hospital after admitted to madirigiriya hospital and then to Anuradhapura general hospital where she had succumbed to her injuries last evening (02).
