Gynecologist Became The Latest Victim Of Dengue Epidemic

A well Recognized Gynecologist Dr.Chandana Pigera died at a Government Hospital in Colombo on last Friday due to the Dengue Fever and became the latest Victim of the Killer Disease which Spreads throughout the Island at present.

He first got admitted to a Private Hospital for treatment and when his condition became Serious transferred to a Government Hospital where he demised.The Majority of the Dengue Patients were reported from Colombo District and along with it 12 Districts of Sri Lanka are identified as the Risky Places of Spreading the Disease.

Sri Lankan Government Began A War Against Dengue

After defeating the LTTE Terrorism in Sri Lanka Government began another War against the force which claimed Several lives in the Country on recent Weeks by appointing a Special operations Committee to destroy the breeding places of the force of Dengue Mosquitoes.Dengue Fever is in rise in Sri Lanka and from January to May this year there is a 50 Percent Increase of the Dengue Patients when comparing to last year.

According to the Director of the Epidemiology Unit Dr.pabha Palihawadena 6689 Dengue Patients were reported this year up to now and 85 Patients died.Last week alone around 1000 New Cases on Dengue reported and there were 10 Deaths she stressed.

Dengue Fever is a Man Made Dissease and Government alone cannot prevent it without the Support from the Public she said."Every Resident should pay their attention to clean their Gardens by destroying Dengue Mosquito Breeding Places like Empty Cans,Plastic Yoghurt/Ice Cream Cups,Tyres and cleaning the Plants and Ponds inside Houses regularly.Dengue Mosquitoes "Eadis Egipty" and "Eadis Albopictus" are breed in Clean Rain water.So destroying the Rain Collecting Items will help to stop the Spreading of the Disease she added.

Dengue Mosquito can fly up to 500 Meters.Meanwhile Minister Of Health Nimal Siripala de Silva appeals to the People to admit the Dengue Suspected Patients to the Government Hospitals instead of Private Hospitals where the Dengue Patients are not receiving the Adequate Treatment for the Disease.

Former Justice Minister Passed Away

Former Justice Minister and Strongman of the Ruling Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) Amarasiri Dodangoda passed away at the Colombo General Hospital yesterday evening.He was receiving treetment for his illness at the time of his death.

Parents Of The Former LTTE Leader Prabhakaren Lives Under Police Protection

Parents of the Former LTTE Leader Valupillai Prabhakaren were surrendered to the Sri Lankan Army few days ago and now they are staying at the Welfare Village in Northern Sri Lanka Under Police Protection Government Sources said.Prabhakaren's Father Vera swamy Thiruwengadam Velupillai(76) and Mother Valupillai Parvathi Pillai were crossed into the Army lines few days ago with other Civilians along with Prabhakaren's Sister and Brother In Law Sources further added.

Earlier everyone believes Prabhakaren's Parents are reside in India.They are under Special Police Protection for their own Safety Government Sources further Stressed.

Helath Ministry Probe on The Behavior Of Three Tamil Medical Administrators During War With LTTE

Ministry Of Health Began an Special Inquiry on the behavior of three Tamil Medical Administrators formally served at the No War Zone in Northern Sri Lanka who are accused of providing false Information to the Local and International Media on Civilian Casualties during the War against LTTE.

The Three Tamil Medical Administrators who are under Police Arrest were taken into Custody by Army when they returned with a Group of Civilians to the Vavuniya after Army defeated the LTTE."If these Three Medical Administrators namely Dr.SathiyaMoorthy,Dr.Varatharaja and Dr.Shanmugaraja are found guilty on violating the State Constitution and Institution Act Health Ministry will take a Disciplinary Action against them" Ministry Official said.

Sri Lankan National Integration Minister Karuna Amman To Re Unite Former LTTE Leader's Family

Sri Lankan National Integration Minister and Former Chief Commander of the LTTE Vinyagamoorthy Muralideran Allias Karuna Amman said the Wife and Two Children of the Former Chief of the LTTE'S Political Wing Thamil Selvem who was killed from an Army Attack will be allowed to re unite with their relations soon.

Sri Lankan Draft Resolution Adapted At The UN Human Rights Council

The Sri Lankan Draft Resolution Presented to the Special Session of United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva is adapted after passed by a Majority little while a go. 29 Member Countries out of the 47 Members of the Council vote in Favor for the Resolution and 12 Voted against it.The Original Draft which had 17 Paragraphs later expanded to 29 Paragraphs.

European Union,Japan,Chilli and Mexico were among those Voted against the Sri Lankan Resolution. Asian and Non Aligned Countries including African Nations Voted in Favor of the Resolution.Six Countries abstained by voting.This Special Session of the Human Rights Council is called by the European Union Countries led by British Foreign Secretary David Miliband in an attempt to level War Crimes against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankns Protests In Front Of Canadian Embassy In Colombo

More than One Hundred Sri Lankans stage a Protest Campaign this morning in front of the Canadian Embassy charging Canadian Government Of Supporting the LTTE Terrorists.These Protesters wrote the Wall of the Canadian Embassy stating it as " Embassy of the LTTE".

Protesters also charged the Canadian Government for not taking enough action to protect the Sri Lankans reside in Canada and their Property from Attacks of the Pro LTTE Supporters.

Voting Of The Special Human Rights Council Session Scheduled This Evening

The Voting on the Special Session of United Nations Human Rights Council on leveling War Crimes Against Sri Lanka scheduled to be taking place in it's Headquarters in Geneva this afternoon.

Asian and African Countries already Shown their Support towards Sri Lanka and Bolivia yesterday said there is a Colonial Attirude behind the calling this Special Session on Sri Lanka of the Human Rights Council.Non Aligned Countries including India,Pakistan,Malaysia Indonesia,Cuba,China,Russia and African Nations so far expressed their Support to Sri Lanka.

Now the Human Rights Council Members are divided as Western and Asian and Latin American Countries are in the View that both parties should find a Negotiated Solution for the problem.

Large Number Of IDP'S In Northern Sri Lanka Suffering From Eye Disorders


A large number of Internal Displaced Persons(IDP'S) in the Camps of Northern Sri Lanka are suffering from Various Kinds of Eye Disorders and some are getting Blind Ministry of Health revealed today.
Majority of these IDP'S who are Suffering from Eye Disorders are adults and they are not able to getting proper treatment from long period of time under the LTTE Regime.
Vision 2020 Programme of the Ministry Of Health is now conducting Special Eye Clinics once in Two Weeks for those who are suffering from Eye Disorders at the Vavuniya and Settikulam Relief Centers.Sri Lankan Eye Specialists Association is assisting them in this regard.

Steps are taken to give Artificial Lenses for those getting Blind and Reading Glasses for the needy a Spokesman of the Ministry Of Health said.The Philanthropists who wished to help these IDP'S in Northern Sri Lanka can contact the Vision-2020 from the Phone Number 11 574 1815(those in abroad should add 0094 infront of that number) to get more details.

United Nations Human Rights Council To Hold A Special Session This Evening On Sri Lanka

United Nations Human Rights Council is due to hold a Special Assembly in 80 Minutes time at their Headquarters in Geneva to pass a Resolution on War Crimes against Sri Lankan Government which they said happened during Fighting against the LTTE Terrorists.
However 18 Member States compromising mainly of Asian Countries out of the 47 Members in the Council are decided to Back Sri Lanka on the Issue.Another 18 Countries mainly from the West are going to vote against Sri Lanka on the Issue and the remaining 11 Countries are not yet decided whom are they going to support.

The 18 Member States who are supporting Sri Lanka includes India,China,Indonesia and Malaysia decided to put forward a Resolution expressing other nations not to Interfere the Internal Issues of Sri Lanka.This Special Session on Sri Lanka is called by the European Union led by British Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

Meanwhile Human Right Council Member Indonesia accused Western Countries of applying Double Strandards for their Rights Violations Probe against Sri Lanka.Sri Lankan Minister of Dissaster Management Mahinda Samarasinha,Attorney General Mohan Pieris and Special Sri Lankan Delegate in Geneva Dayan Jayathilake representing this Session on Behalf of the Sri Lankan Government.

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksha is Due to Receive the Rajiv Gandhi Award for his Leadership given to Defeat LTTE Rebels Militarily.India's Anti Terrorist Organization have been decided to give this Award to the Sri Lankan President.

Head of the LTTE'S International Wing and their current leader Kumaran Pathmanathan Yesterday Confirmed that the LTTE Leader Valupillai Prabhakaren was killed from an Sri Lankan Army Attack on last Weakend.

Pro LTTE Website yesterday Published a letter sent by the Pathmanathan who is known as KP stating that the LTTE Leader Prabhakaren was Killed and Urging their Activists to mourn for a Week over his death.Since the Sri Lankan Forces Announced the Death of Prabhakaren through the Local Media on Last Tuesday KP and European LTTE Activists denied to accept that he was killed.
Meanwhile An International NGO Based in Norwegian Capital Oslo today confirmed that Prabhakaren along with his Family Members were Killed due to an Army Attack in Northern Sri Lanka.

Defence Secretary Asked International Help To Arrest Current LTTE Chief KP


Sri Lankan Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksha today calls on International Community and United Nations to assist the Arrresting of Current Head of the LTTE and the Arms Smuggler Kumaran Pathmanathan Allias KP.


KP is currently based in Malaysia and also believed to be responsible for calling a Public Meeting there yesterday on Ealam State.However Malaysian Government urged the People not to attend that Rally as it is Illegal .

KP is also a wanted Person for the INTERPOL as He is also responsible for Killings done by LTTE under Prabhakaren.

A Vessel Carrying 884 Metric Tonnes Of Relief Items Is Heading For Sri Lanka Without Permission

A Vessel said to be Carrying 884 Metric Tonnes of Food Medicine and other Humanitarian Relief Items for Displaced Persons in Northern Sri Lanka is heading away to Sri Lanka despite the Local Government says it has not been given the Clearence for the Vessel and Navy put on Alert.

The Ship "Captain Ali" entered to the Red Sea after traveling through the Suez Canal now is said to be Carrying an Essential Supplies for the 300,000 Displaced Persons in the Camps of Northern Sri Lanka.The Ship began it's first leg of Journey from Port Ipswich of United Kingdom on 20th of April.

An Ex Sri Lankan Monitoring Mission(SLMM) Monitor ,Doctors and Humanitarian Workers are traveling with the Humanitarian Relief in board.


President Mahinda Rajapaksha Honored With A National Title

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksha and Chief Commanders of the Armed Forces were Honored with Honorary Titles today By the Highest Buddhist Chapters in Sri Lanka for guiding the Armed Forces to a Historical Victory over Ruthless LTTE Rebels.

Three Hundred Bodies Of LTTE Cadres Including Their Chief Prabhakaren Cremated

The Bodies of around Three Hundred LTTE Cadres Killed during their Final Battle with Sri Lankan Troops including their Leader Valupillai Prabhakaren and Other Leaders were Cremated yesterday in Mulativue District(Northern Sri Lanka) Army Sources said.

Some Bodies were Decomposed as they died on Monday Morning Sources revealed.There will be no Seperate Tomb for LTTE Leader Prabhakaren who is branded as World's Most Dangerous Terrorist as he was responsible for killing large number of innocent civilians in Sri Lanka during their 25 Year old Ealam War Sources further added.

Six Thousand Sri Lankan Soldiers Sacrificed Their Lives During Offensives Against LTTE


Sri Lankan Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksha says that Six Thousand Two Hundred Sixty One(6,261) Sri Lankan Soldiers Sacrificed their lives while engaged in Liberating North and Eastern Provinces held by LTTE Rebels.Twenty NineThousand Five Hundred Fifty(29,551) One Got injured during the Operations and Another Two Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Six(2556) were Disabled.

ATotal number of Twenty Three Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety (23790) Security Personnel were Sacrificed their Lives since 1981 while engaged in Offensives to Eradicate Terrorism from the Motherland Defense Secretary reveals during an Interview with State Own National T.V Channel Rupavahini.

Meanwhile it has been reported that around 22,000 LTTE Cadres were killed by the Sri Lankan Troops during the Ealam War of LTTE and 625 alone during the Last Battle on Monday.

Sri Lanka To Honour War Heroes Tomorrow At A Large Ceremony In Colombo

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksha invited Citizens to come to the National Parliament Square tomorrow Evening to attend a Ceremony to Pay Tribute to Sri Lankan War Heroes who defeated the Terrorism.President is due to Address the people attending this Ceremony.

To Day is also the National Heroes Day of Sri Lanka.Thousands of People from all corners in the Island are expected to attend this Ceremony conducting as a part of the Celebrations to Honor Sri Lankan Armed Forces.

All Schools in Colombo and Suburbs and Some Roads are closed tomorrow to Accommodate the Crowds reaching Colombo for the Event..


Bodies of the Three Family Members Of LTTE Leader Prabhakaren Found

LTTE Leader V alupillai Prabhakaren's Wife,Daughter and Youngest Son are among the Rebels who were killed by the Sri Lankan Army last Monday Army Sources Said today.

The Bodies of Prabhakaren's Wife Mathivathini Erambu,Daughter Dwaraka and youngest son Bala chandren were found in the Vicinity of the Body of Prabhakaren Sources said.

Eight LTTE Rebels Including Three Area Leaders Were Killed From An Army Attack


As all the Top Leaders of LTTE were killed during their Last Battle with Sri Lankan Army on last Monday another 8 LTTE Rebels hiding in the Jungles of Eastern Province were killed this afternoon by the Troops.

The Area leaders of the LTTE Rebels in Trincomalee District "Sathyan Master","Kannan" and "Ovilen" were among those killed.These Rebels were killed when the Troops fired at them in the Kadavana Jungle Area around 2.30 P.M this Afternoon.

Troops recovered the Bodies of the Rebels killed during the Confrontation along with T-56 Weapons,M-16 Weapons,Hand Grenades, A Claymore Mine and A Radio Communication Set.

Symbolic Last Gun Shots Fired To The Mulativue Seas To Mark The End Of Terrorism

Symbolic last Gun Shots were fired into the Mulativue Seas in Northern Sri Lanka by the Jubiliant Armed Forces little while ago to Mark the end of LTTE Terrorism in the Country.

Thousnds of Troops who are involved in the Military Offensives against the LTTE participated along with their Superiors to witness this Event.

After the Gun Shots fired Troops were Shouted Independance Slogans.

World's Most Dangerous Terrorist Leader Valupillai Prabhakaren was not wearing or having a Cyanide Capsule a Symbol of LTTE Cadres used to Commit Suicide when captured Sri Lankan Army Sources said today.

He is the one who put a Cyanide Capsule around the Neck of his Cadres but He Himself not having a one as predicted by Pro LTTE Supporters Sources Stressed.A person who ordered to kill Thousands of Innocent Civilians in the South to fullfillng his Dream of Creating a Seperate State in Northern Sri Lanka died like a Coward when a Brave Sri Lankan Soldier Shot at Him Army Sources further added.

At the final moment LTTE Leader only had Two Security Guards and his Private Pistol, Identity Card,Tag and Sattalite Phone were with him.

Bodies Of The Eight LTTE Leaders Including Sea Tiger Leader Soosai Found From The Battlefield


The Bodies of Another Eight LTTE Leaders were identified today including the Body Of Sea Tiger Leader Soosai.Altogether Bodies of the 475 LTTE Cadres who were killed during the Last Battle were recovered from the Battle Field according the Sri Lankan Army Sources.

The Identified Bodies are that of LTTE Leaders Soosai,Verti,Ram Kumar,Komali,Annathurai,Rangan and Vinodan.

Along with these Cadres Two Female Bodies Suspected to be that of LTTE Leader Prabhakaren's Wife Madivadini and Daughter Dwaraka's too found Sources said.However Earlier Reports said that LTTE Leader's Wife was captured and his Daughter is in Abroad.

President Declares Tomorrow As A National To Tribute War Heroes

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksha today Officially Announced the Ending OF the 25 year old War against LTTE and declared tomorrow as a National Holiday for all sectors in the Country as a Tribute to War Heroes of the Nation.

In his Address to the Nation from the National Parliament this Morning President said Finding a solution to the North East Conflict could be reach with the Assistance of All Political Parties in Sri Lanka and International Help not needed for this Process.He brushed away the Ethnic Differences by saying there are no Minorities in the Country except the two National Identities Patriots and Non Patriots.Military Solution is not the Final Solution for the Problem.

"Tamil People never believed or favored taking up Arms" President further stressed.

President Addressed the Nation after Inaugurating 4th Session of the 06th Parliament.

Body Of The Prabhakaren Identified By A DNA Test

The Body of the Most Dangerous Terrorist Leader of the World LTTE Leader Valupillai Prabhakaren Identified through a DNA Test Sri Lankan Defense Ministry Announced today.The Body that suspected as Prabhakaren was recovered by the Troops from the Battlefield earlier but it was brought to Colombo to perform a DNA Test Ministry added.Body of the Terrorrist Leader was now with the Army and his Identification Tag and the Identity Card too were found,

Sri Lankan Army Commander General Sarath Fonseka too confirmed today that the Body of the Terrorist Leader found.After Identifying , the Body was shown through the Government and Private T.V Channels here.Prabhakaren was killed yesterday when he and two of his deputies were tried to flee from Sri Lankan Troops.

Security Heads Informed The President On Military Victory Over LTTE

Security Heads including Army Commander Lt.General sarath Fonseka met the President Mahinda Rajapaksha this evening and formally informed him on the Military Victory over LTTE.

LTTE Leader Prabhakaren And Two Of His Deputies Killed When Trying To Escape From An Ambulance

LTTE Leader Valupillai Prabhakaren and two of his Deputies were killed this morning when they tried to Breakout the Army Encircle and escape from the No War Zone by an Ambulance Military Sources said.

Prabhakaren along with Sea Tiger Leader Soosai and LTTE'S Intelligence Chief Pottu Amman came out from their hideout this morning and tried to escape from the Area and Army Shot them Sources further Added.

Meanwhile after hearing the News of killing Prabhakaren Sri Lankan People overjoyed and celebrated it with Firing Crackers and dancing in the Streets.Thousands of people in to the Streets this noon to celebrate this event as it marks the end of 25 year old Ealam War Carried out by the LTTE.

French Wine And Snacks For IDP'S In Vavuniya

Two Boxes contained with Bottles of Wine and Some Snacks were found among the Essential Medicine Boxes donated by the French Embassy in Colombo to the Medical Supplies Division(MSD) last Friday .These Medicines were donated to send for treating IDP'S in Vavuniya it has been revealed.
When the MSD Officials checked the Boxes which are labeled as an Essential Drugs these were found and when informed on this the officers who were handover the stock to the Supplies Division taken away All the Boxes before checking them further.The Director of the Medical Supplies Division Dr.Weerabandara already inquired on this incident to the Health Ministry Officials.

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksha is due to Address the Nation on this Tuesday at Parliment on 9.30 A.M Local Time to Announce the Military Victory over LTTE.

Former Parliamentarian and a Minister Alick Aluwihare Passed away this morning at a private hospital in colombo.

All Civilians Trapped In The No War Zone Rescued

The Last Group of Civilians trapped inside the remaining LTTE Rebel held area in No War Zone of the Northern Sri Lanka were rescued this morning Sri Lankan Defense officials announced.

More than 10,000 Civilians were rescued by the Sri Lankan Army yesterday amidst LTTE attacks.Injured were shifted for immediate Medical Attention Officials further added.

Government Appealed To The People To Hoist National Flag Tomorrow

Sri Lankan Cabinet Spokesman and Media Minister Lakshman Yapa Abewardene to day Appealed to the People to hoist the Sri Lankan National "Lions" Flag in their Homes and in Work Places to honor the Sri Lankan Armed Forces who are nearing to defeat Terrorism in the Country.

Sri Lankan Navy Captured Entire Sea Area Hold By The LTTE


Sri Lankan Navy captured the Entire Sea area in the Northern Sri Lanka today hold by the LTTE Rebels in past 25 years Security Sources said.

Meanwhile the Troops belongs to the 58th and 59th Divisions of the Sri Lankan Army who are surrounded the rebel held area have linked up with either side of the No War Zone this morning.

Captured Family members Of The Sea Tiger Leader Carried Large Amount Of Currency and Gold With Them

Around Five Family Members of Sea Tiger Leader of the LTTE Soosai including his Wife and Two Children were captured by the Sri Lankan Navy this evening while they were attempted to escape from a Boat in the Northern Seas of No War Zone in Sri Lanka.

"Sea Tiger Leader's Wife,Daughter,Son,Sister In Law and her Son were arrested by the Navy and brought to the Pulmudai Area "Sri Lankan Navy Sources said.

Sea Tiger Leader Soosei is among the Three Key LTTE Leaders who are remaining in the Rebel Held small coastal area at present.

Sounds Of Big Explosions Heard From The No War Zone


Sounds of Big Explosions heard from the No War Zone in Northern Sri Lanka since last evening where the remaining LTTE Rebels and trapped Civilians are locating Security Sources said.


Now the Rebels are restricted to 1 Kilo Meter by 200 Meter area in the No War Zone and remaining rebel leaders including their chief Prabhakaren are using 100to 120 Member suicide Squad to prevent the escaping of the trapped civilians there.LTTE is planted the explosive Substance White Phosphorus along with Bombs around the place where the civilians are staying aiming a large Massacre on running civilians according to the Security Forces.


Rebels may have try to put the blame on such a Massacre in the hands of the Sri Lankan Ground Forces Sources further added.


Meanwhile Three Female Suicide Bombers who are belongs to the Suicide Cadre in the area were surrendered to the Army yesterday.It has been revealed that they have No Food to eat from three days.

All Medical Officers Of Health Stop Dengue Activities Citing System Lapses


All Medical Officers Of Health(MOH) throughout Sri Lanka are stop attending the Essential Dengue Control Activities of House to House Inspection on Mosquito Breeding Places and Special Investigations on Dengue Patients from Last Tuesday due to the lapses in Mosquito Control Programme Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) of Sri Lanka Announced today.

Due to this action the activities of Dengue Mosquito Control Programme is going to collapse Medical Sources said.All Dengue Control Activities are performed under the supervision of MOH'S.However conducting Awareness Programmes for people on Dengue will continue Association said.

Explaining on the situation the Assistant Secretery of the GMOA Dr Upul Gunasekera said that the Ministry Of Health is not taking steps to educate Health Staff including MOH'S on the Regulations of the newly approved Mosquito Control Act and due to this MOH'S are facing difficulties to carried out their duties of controlling Dengue.

MOH of the Colombo Suburbs faced Severe Threats from a Politician in the area recently when he tried to inspect the Garden of the Above Politician to check whether there are Mosquito Breeding Places Dr.Gunasekera stressed.Dengue is on rise in Sri Lanka this year as around 8000 Dengue Patients and 63 Deaths were reported upto now.

Sri Lankan Buddhist Center In London Was Attacked By LTTE Supporters


Sri Lankan Buddhist Center in Kingsbury situated in North West of London was attacked by a group of unidentified persons believed to be Pro-LTTE Supporters this morning.This Center is the Ninth Buddhist Centre to be attacked by LTTE Supporters in recent weeks.

"Attackers threw stones and broken the Front Windows of the Buddhist Center and ran away "the Head of the Sri Saddhatissa Buddhist centre Venerabal Galayaye Piyadassi Thero said.Police came to the scene few minutes after the incident but not able to arrest anyone regrading the incident Thero further added.

Meanwhile Brent Police increased the Petrol in the area and launched an Investigation into the incident.

Local Worker Of The International Red Cross Killed Due To Shelling


An International Red Cross(ICRC) worker and his Mother was killed at the New Safe Zone due to Shell Attack this Afternoon.

ICRC Spokeswoman Sarasi Wijerathna said a 31 year old local worker of the Red Cross and His Mother was killed from the Shell Attack inside the Safe Zone.

High Court Issued An Open Warrent For LTTE Leader And His Intelligance Chief


Colombo High Court today Issued an Open Warrent to Arrest LTTE Leader Valupillai Prabhakaren and LTTE Intelligance Chief Pottuamman over the Assassination of Former Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadiragamer.

Mr.Kadiragamer was assassinated on August 2005.

Prabhakaren and Pottuamman are also named as International Criminals and the Prime Suspects in connection with the Assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Sri Lankan Navy destroyed Four Suicide Sea Tiger Boats of LTTE came to recapturing the newly liberated area of No Fire Zone in Northern Sri Lanka this morning after 4 Hours of fierce fighting.


Large Number of Attacking Crafts of LTTE came to assist the Suicide Boats went missing after the Navy attack.

The fighting erupted from 9 P.M last night when the Navy witnessed two Sea Tiger Boats entering to the sea from Coastal Area of the No Fire Zone.Fighting lasted till 4 A.M this morning according to the Security Sources.The Four Sea Tiger Boats were exploded and the exact number of LTTE Casualties are not known so far Sources added.

Two Government Politicians Were Remanded Over Allegations


Two Government Politicians were Remanded by the Sri Lankan Courts in connection with Child abducting and Shooting Incident.Parliamentarian of the Governing United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) Sarana Gunawardana was Charged for trying to abducting a Child and a Provincial Councilor Hector Bethmage was remanded in connection with a Shooting Incident.

Parliment M.P Sarana Gunawardana who was charged with Child Abduction was refused the bail by Attanagalla Court yeterday.Provincial Councilor Hector Bethmage too were remanded.

Tamil Leader Anandasangaree Said Around 26 Patients Killed On Shelling At A Hospital In Northern Sri Lanka


Tamil United Liberation Front(TULF) Leader V.Anandasangaree today sent a Letter to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksha and said around 26 Patients of the Makeshift Hospital Mullavaikal Hospital in the Safe Zone were killed and more then 100 others injured due to a Shell Attack on the Hospital this morning.

TULF Leader urged the President to intervene and prevent any further Shelling on Civilians and send a Medical Team to the Hospital.He further mentioned in his letter that around 7.45 A.M this morning this Shell Attack occured and those Patients killed died at the spot and few minutes later others found as injured.

Anandasangaree said that over Thousend other casualties also waiting to receive medical teatment and stressed that if this attack was carried out by the LTTE Sri Lankan Government still have a Duty to save the Civilians.

Anandasangree is respected by the Sri Lankan Government as a Tamil Politician who is against the LTTE.

Pro LTTE Supporters Attacked Sri Lankan Embassy In Netherlands


Pro LTTE Supporters in Netherlands attacked the Sri Lankan Embassy there last night by using Beer Bottles.
The Windows of the Office Room of Sri Lankan Ambassador Mrs.Ashirvadan broken due to this attack and the Ambassador called Police after the Incident.
Dutch Police now providing Police Protection to the Sri Lankan Embassy and Ambassador Mrs.Ashirvadan is planning to complaint this incident to the Dutch Foriegn Secretary.Prior to this attack the Sri Lankan Embassies in Norway,India and Canada also faced similar attacks from the pro LTTE Supporters.

Sri Lankan Ground Forces Entering Into LTTE Hold New Safe Zone

Sri Lankan ground forces today captured another Earth Bund built by LTTE in the Wadduwakal causeway in Northern Sri Lanka by entering into the 2.5 Square Kilo Meter Area of the New Safe Zone occupied by the rebels.

59th Division of the Sri Lankan Army captured the above area.Troops are now advancing 300 Meters further towards LTTE Defences.

Meanwhile Army Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said in today's Press Briefing in Colombo that around One Hundrad Eighty Eight Thousand Five Hundred(188,500) Civilians so far escaped from the Rebel Held Area and came to Government Held Area.

Cisplatinum,Carboplatinam and Anesterole are among these Out of Stock Drugs and people have to spend around 400-500 Rupees per Tablet to purchase some of these Drugs according to the Oncologists.Cancer Hospital Authorities asked from Philanthropists to help these patients to purchase these requitred Drugs.

Pro-LTTE Supporters Attacked And Damaged International Buddhist Centre In Paris

The International Buddhist Centre in Paris was attacked yesterday (Sunday) by an unknown people believed to be Pro-LTTE Supporters and Severely damaged to the Building Sri Lankan Foriegn Ministry said today(11).

The Military Spokesman of the LTTE Irasiah Illanthirayan has sustained Heavy Injuries during an attack in the Sri Lanka's New Safe Zone on Sunday.LTTE Media said he was injured due to an attack launched by Sri Lankan Military yesterday.

New Safe Zone In The North Came Under Shell Attack Killing 300 Ciivilians


The New Safe Zone in Mulativue District of Northern Sri Lanka Came under Shell Attack today killing around 300 Civilians in the Zone according to the News Sources.

Sri Lankan Army and the LTTE blaming each other over the attack and Army says that they are not using heavy weapons for the current offensives against LTTE in the Safe Zone since two weaks.There are also reports that LTTE Cadres wearing Civilian Uniforms launched attacks by staying among the Civilians.

Sri Lankan Government Arrested and expelled Four British Journalists attached to the ITN Channal-4 News from the Country today claiming they were broadcast a news piece through their Channal tarnishing the Image of Sri Lankan Army Perssonal.

Expelled Journalists who are producing the News Items for Channal-4 News filmed an IDP Camp in Vavuniya on 5th of May containing allegations on Sexual Abuse and Food and water Shortage in the Camp which the Sri Lankan Authorities have been denied.

Buddhists Around The World Celebrates The Birth Of Lord Buddha


Millions of Buddhists around the world Celebrated the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day yesterday which mark the Birth,Enlightenment and the Demise of the Lord Buddha the Founder of Buddhism.Thousands of devotees yesterday gathered at the Temples throughout Sri Lanka to conduct religious activities to mark this occasion.
