CID Had Questioned North Western Province DIG On Dr/Safi
Robberies Investigations Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has today (21) recorded a statement from the Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG) in charge of North Western Province Wasantha Kithsiri Jayalath for more than eight hours over the investigations carried out by DIG regarding the assets of Dr.Mohommad Seigu Siyabdeen Safi who has been arrested and handed over to CID regarding failure to declare how he had earned the assets .
CID has also questioned the DIG over a report published on Dr.Safi regarding an illegal sterilization .He is also due to be questioned in future as well if a need arise according to CID.

Health Minister To Sue GMOA Claiming Rs.One Billion Whilst GMOA Had Complained Agianst Minister To WHO

has decided to file a legal action against Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) claiming Rs.one billion from the Association over defaming him by providing false information to the Media.Health Minister has also decided to sue Media outlets which published or broadcast false information provided by GMOA of him .

Meanwhile GMOA has today (21) handed over a compalin to the World Health Organization (WHO) Office in Colombo against the Health Minister stating he is misusing the vice presidnt post of WHO Executive committee received by him to boost projects on his image .GMOA has also made accusations against Helath Minister from the letter for supplying low quality drugs and maintaing Nevile Fenando Hospital through givernment funds.

National Police Commisiion Had Approved Transfers Of 15 Higher Police Officers
National Police Commission had given approval for the transfers of 15 higher Police Officers including 06 Deputy Inspector General's Of Police (DIG) to facilitate holding preliminary Inquiries against them to see whether they were responsible for not preventing Easter Sunday Attacks. These transfers scheduled to be implemented as service requirements according to Police.
Acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP0 has made these transfers in order to conduct investigations against them as ordered by Attorney General Dappula De Livera based on the recommendations made by vijitha Malalgoda Commission appointed by the president to conduct investigations over Easter Sunday Attacks .
Attorney General has earlier ordered the Acting IGP to conduct inquiries against 09 Higher police officers including DIG's ,SP.s ASP's and OIC's on criminal charges and take a disciplinary action against them over not preventing Easter Sunday attacks.

approved the Gazette Notification including ordered prepared by President to ban three Muslim Extremist Organization's "National Thowheed Jammath ",Jammathe Milathei Ibrahim and "Milathei Seilani ".
House Leader Lakshman Kiriella had submitted the Gazette Notification prepared under the 27th article of Terrorism Prevention Act to the Parliament .
After debating it for several hours Parliament had approved the Gazette .The Gazette was issued several weeks after the Easter Sunday attacks by the president Maithripala Sirisena.

Commuters Had Faced Enormous Difficulties Due To The Ongoing Railway Strike

and School children had faced enormous difficulties today (21)due to the two day Island wide strike launched by Five categories of Railway Department employees .
Although Railway Employees including Engine Drivers, Station Masters ,Guides ,Controllers and observing managers have launched the two day strike demanding the implementation of a Cabinet Paper removing their salary anomalies ,Few trains had been operated to facilitate the commuters .
Long queues had seen at Colombo Fort private and Ceylon Transport Board bud stands As a result of the Railway Strike .
The strike had been launched by demanding the implementation of the Cabinet Paper approved in 2018 to remove salary anomalies of Railway employees .
Talks held between Railway employees unions and Ministry of Finance retarding the strike yesterday ended without a result as Unions reduced to accept Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera's offer to solve the demand within one and half month it had been revealed.
The strike is scheduled to be held until midnight tomorrow (22 ).
