Thirteen Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (24)

Thirteen Corona positives had been

discharged from hospitals yesterday  (24)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly 3142 Corona positives had been discharged from hospitals so far the unit has stated. 

Nine Corona Positives Had Been Reported In The Country Yesterday (24)

A total of 09 Corona positives had been

reported in the country yesterday  (24),increasing the total number of Corona positives in the country to 3333 according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly 02 arrivals from Iran ,02 arrivals from Kuwait , 01 arrival from United Arab Emirates ,01  arrival from Maldives and 03 arrivals from Qatar    had been tested positive for the Corona Virus yesterday  (24) whilst under quarantine at quarantine Centers.

At the moment 178 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals. 

A Tense Situation Occurred After A Russian Aircraft Officer Who Had Tested Positive For Corona Virus At Matara -He Had Visited Many Places But Officials Had Not Informed On The Positive To PHI 's

A tense situation had àoccurred due to

a Russian Cargo  Aircraft official who is among a group of 15 officials visited Sri Lanka on 13 th of September and had tested positive for Corona virus at a private hospital in  Matara last Wednesday (23).

The Corona positive was reported as tested negative for the virus  when he had undergone the "PCR "test for first time after arriving here  at Hambanthota Hospital.

The group of Russian Aircraft officials including the Corona posotive had stayed at a hotel in Polhena,Matara  and during their stay they have visited many places in the area by  violating quarantine rules it had been reported. 

However when the team of Russian Aircraft officials due to leave the country the relevent official had been  tested positive  for Corona virus after undergoing a "PCR "test at a private hospital in Matara .

As a result 49 persons including  25 
staff members of the hotel where the Russian National and his team stayed at and 23  family members of the staff are being quarantined according to reports.

However Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Union had charged that public health inspectors were not informed on the positive and  the places  he  had visited and due to this situation the people contacted this Russian Corona positive might have contacted the virus through him.

Meanwhile the head of the Covid -19 Center Army Commander General Shavendra De Silva had announced that the center was not informed on the arrival of Russian official tested positive for Corona virus and his team from Bangalore, India.

The team of 15 member Russian Aircraft officials had arrived at Mattala International Airport in Hambanthota from Bangalore ,India on 13 th of September.
