Selling Of Liquor In Sathosa Outlets To Be Prohibited

The selling of Liquor in all government owned Lak Sathosa Outlets island wide  will be prohibited with effect from this Wednesday(21) according to the Minister of Food Security Gamini Jayawikrama Perera.As in other Supermarkets Sathosa too selling liquor to the consumers up to now.

JVP MP Has Filed Writ Application To Arrest LTTE Leader KP

MP Vijitha Herath  of  leftist Janatha Wimkthi Peramuna Party  has today(19) filed a writ application in Appeals Court by requesting to issue an arrest order on the current leader and former chief  arms prosecutor of the LTTE KP allias Kumaran Pathmanathan and to commence judicial proceeding against him.

The petitioner MP Herath has sought an order of mandamus directing the Inspector General Of Police ,The Defense Secretary and the Army Commander to take necessary legal action against the KP.
