A Heroin Smuggler Was Sentenced To Death By Colombo High Court

Colonbo High Court has today (23)sentenced a Heroin Smuggler who was arrested on 03rd of July 2014 with
5138 Grammes of Heroin in his possession to death.

The suspect Ismail Akbar allias "Master"who is a resident of Valachchena area was arrested in Rajamalwatte,Modara and later Attorney General had filed a lawsuit against him over smuggling and keeping Heroin in his  possession.

The accused involved  in distributing Heroin which transported from India to Sri Lanka by boats within Colombo area.


Train Drivers To Launch An Island Wide Strike

Train drivers are due to launch an Island Wide strike from midnight tonight(23)by demanding to extend the
contract period of Train drivers recrruited on contract basis.

Authorities have decided not to extend the Contract period of Train drivers who were recruited on temporary basis.

Reports On Central Bank Bond Scam And Serious Fraud And Corruption Were Tabled In The Parliament

Officials Had Begun Investigations On The Two Large Size Foot Prints Recovered From A Reserve Near Sripada

Officials of the Archeology Department had today (23) begun an investigations over the rock recovered with two large size right and left foot prints on it last Saturday(20).

The Officials had arrived  in the reserve of Gardimore Estate in Maskeliya area where the Rock is being located and recorded statements from the group of Estate Workers who were first recovered the rock near :Sripada" .

After the rock had been recovered Estate workers in the area are being worshiped the foot prints and a large number of people are being arrived in the Estate to view the rock it has been reported.

Although two large size foot prints around one and half feet long are there on the rock only the right foot print is clearly visible and the left foot print was deleted according to the officials.

Uva Province Chief Minister Had Surrendered To The Police Over Harrassing A Female Principal

Image result for chamara sampath dasanayakaThe Chief Minister of Uva Province Chamara Sampath Dassanayake had been surrendered to the Badulle Police this noon(23) through his lawyer over the charges leveled against him on forcing the female principal of Badulle Tamil Girl's School to kneeling down at his feet .

After produced before the Badulle Magistrate Court the Uva Province Chief Minister was released on a personal bail of Rs.200,000.

The Chief Minister who had earlier announced that he will step down from the Education Minister post which he holds in the Provincial council until the investigations over the incident concluded had been surrendered to the Police today.
