A total of 108 had been arrested yesterday (26) in various places of the country over violating Anti Corona health guidelines mainly for not keeping one meter distance with others and not wearing a face mask in public places according to Police Media Spokesman Ajith Rohana .

Since 30 th October last year 3755 persons had been arrested under the quarantine law for not following Anti Corona health guidelines he has stated .

The raids in this regard continues police Media Spokesman has stressed .

Two Areas In Galle District Had Been Isolated Yesterday (26)

Two Grama Niladari Divisions at Rathgama Police division in Galle District had been isolated with effect from 8 p.m last Night according to Health Authorities .

Accordingly imbulgoda and Katudampe Grama Niladari Divisions had been isolated due to the surge of Corona cases in those areas the Authorities had stressed. .

Two Areas In Polonnaruwa And Matale Districts Had Been Isolated

Health Authorities had isolated Siriketha Grama Niladari Division (Rural Health Officer area ) at Hingurakgoda in Polonnaruwa District and Ukuwela ,Pallekumburua Grama Niladari Division in Matale District with immediate effect according to the Army Commander General Shavendra De Silva the head of the National Covid -19 Prevention Center

Accordingly the isolation has been imposed in view of the surge in Corona cases in those areas he has stressed

All Schools In Western

The Ministry of Education has decided to close down All government schools .Pre schools and Piriven (Religious Classes ) at Western and North Western provinces until 30 th of April in view of the risk of spreading Corona virus in inhools .

Meanwhile Catholic and International schools too had been closed until 30 th by the authorities in view of the Corona spread in the country .

Three Corona Deaths Reported Today (26)

A total of 03 Corona deaths had been reported today (26) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country to 647 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center .Accordingly two females and a Male resided at Galpatha ,Kandana and Awissawella areas had died due to Covid Pneumonia and complications occurred due to the non communicable diseases they have suffered from as a result of Corona infection the Center has stated .
