A No Confidance Motion Was Prepared Against Prime Minister

A group of Joint Opposition MP's have today (10)signed
a no confidance motion prepared against  Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe over the controversial Central Bank Bond Scam at the Parliamentary Premises.

Another group of Joint Opposition MP's is due to sign the motion soon it  has been revealed.

A 14 Year Old Boy Was Killed After A Backo Machine Fallen On His Body

A 14 year old boy was killed after a Backo Machine
had toppled over the road and falllen on his body near the Mulankavil Krishna Kovil in Kilinochchi last evening (09).

The Backo Machine was toppled over the road after the driver unable to control it and had fallen on to the body of the deceased who was walking along the road at that time it has been revealed.

The driver of the Backo Machine too got injured and admitted to Jaffna Hospital for treatment.

Scheduled Island Wide Postal Strike Was Suspended

The postal workers strike scheduled to be launched
from midnight tonight (10) has been suspended folliwing the agreements reached between  the talks held among Postal Unions and Postal Minister and the secretary of Ministry Of Public Administration according to the Joint Postal Workers Trade Union.

Authorities have promised the Trade union leaders to provide solutions for their demands after the local govenment election the Union has stressed.

A Person Was Injured Due To A Vehicle Accident

A truck assistant was injured and hospitalized after
the heavy truck he was travelling falling down in to a precipice from Black Bridge at Batuoya,Minneriya area on Polonnaruwa-Habarana main road today (10).

The injured was admitted to the Habarana Hospital for treatment.

According to the driver of the vehicle,The Truck was slipped away from the road due to the mild rain prevailed in the area at that time.

Due to the accident heavy traffic was prevailed on the road for few hours according to the Police.


Parliament Was Adjourned As A Result Of A Demonstartion And Brawl During PM's Speech

Image result for sri lanka parliamentParliament was adjourned until 23rd of January  by the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya this noon (10)due to a tense situation occurred in the house during the special statement made by Prime Minister Ranil Wikrmasinghe on Central  Bank Bond Scan issue and steps taken by the Government to probe on the issue.

As a group of Joint Opposition MP's had staged a demonstration in center of the house by displaying placards as a protest a brawl was occurred between few Joint Opposition MP's and governing United National Party MP's it has been reported.

Due to the brawl Joint Opposition MP Ranjith Soyza received minor bruises and a UNP MP  had felt faintness according to reports.

Earlier Speaker had adjourned the Parliament for 10 minutes over the Party Leaders meeting.

Meanwhile Deputy Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanne had announced that the Bond Commission Report will be tabled in the parliament on 17th of January.

Two Fishermen Were Killed Due To A Boat-Ship Collision

Two Fishermen were killed ,Two were missing and three have been injured and escaped after the Multi Tag Fisheries Boat they were traveling in colliding with a Ship Transporting Vehicles in Devundara seas last night(09).

The Fisheries Boat had collided with a Ship arriving in Hambanthota Port it has been revealed.

The three injured Fishermen and dead bodies of two fishermen  due to be brought to Galle Fisheries Barbour.
