Sri Lanka's Pop Legend Sunil Pereira Has Passed Away

 Popular Sri Lankan Pop singer and leader of the Popular Gypsies Musical group Sunil Perera  has passed away this morning (06) at the age of 66 whilst receiving treatment at a Private Hospital in Colombo ,

He was hospitalized  last month after testing positive for Corona virus .and few days back he had left the hospital after being cured it has been revealed .However he got sick again and hospitalized yesterday(05) and passed away this morning whilst receiving treatment according to reports .

Late Sunil Perera has known as a pioneer in local Music industry who had criticized  wrong doings of  politicians through his songs which became popular among masses .May his soul Rest In Peace ,

Wife Of The Leader Of Veddha Community Heen Manike Has Died Due To Corona Infection

 The wife of the leader of Sri Lanka's indigenous community "Veddas " Uruwarige Wanniayla Aththo " ,known as Uruwarige Heenmanika had died whilst receiving treatment for  Corona infection at Peradeniya Teaching Hospital yesterday (04) it has been revealed .

The deceased who was 64 years old and suffering from Kidney ailment had been tested positive along with 43 others at their village in Dambana after performing Rapid Antigen Tests for them ,She was then admitted to Mahiyanganaya Base Hospital for treatment and  later transferred to Peradeniya teaching Hospital .for further treatment ,

The funeral of late Henne Manika is scheduled to e held at Mahiyangnaya General Cemetery tomorrow (06)

 A Total of 3308 Corona positives had been reported today (05) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 462,767 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 68,070 Corona positives are being treated at Government/Private Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and under Home care it has been revealed ,

189 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (05)

 Another 189 Corona deaths had been reported today (05) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 10,140 according to Director General Of Health Services  (DGHS) .

Accordingly 96 males and 93 females had died due to Corona infection today .

Out of the deceased 154  were over 60 years of age and 34 were belonged to 30-60 age group .One of the deceased was under 30 years of age ,
