Finance Ministry Secretary Also Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 The secretary to the Ministry Of Finance S,R Atigala had been tested positive for Corona virus and is under quarantine according to Sources ,

Many top officials of the Ministry and outside the Ministry had been identified as his first contacts .

Aanother 100,000 Doses Of "Pfizer " Vaccine Had Arrived In Sri Lanka

 Another 100,000 doses of "Pfizer " Corona vaccine doses purchased by the Sri Lankan authorities had arrived in Sri Lanka in wee hours of this morning (09) via Doha ,Qatar according to sources .

These doses which were brought by A Qatar Airlines flight are being stored in special containers weighing around 550 Kilo grammes the sources have stated ,

 

94 Corona Deaths Were Reported Today (08)

 A total of 94 Corona deaths had been reported today (08) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 5111 according to Director General Of Health Services  

Accordingly 69 Males and 25 females had died today due to Corona infection .

Corona Vaccination -A Special Three Day Programme To Vaccinate Over 69 Year Age group And Those with Serous Illnesses In Western Province

 Health authorities had decided to vaccinate those  in Western Province who are of the age over 60 years and suffering from serious illnesses  and still didn't  take the first dose of Anti Corona vaccine , from this Tuesday (10) the Government Information Department has announced  ,

Those who are belonging to those categories  and   living in Western province can make an appointment to get the first dose of the  Corona vaccine through  the number 1906 the Department has stated ,

This vaccination programme is scheduled  to  be held  in western  Province for three days ,

Another 2956 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (08)

 A total of 2956 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (08) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 329,994 according to Director General Of Health Services ,

At the moment 31,620 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and Quarantine centers .
