Former Crimes OIC Of Narahenpita Police Given A Confidential Statement To Colombo Additional Magistrate Over The Murder Of Former Rugger Player
The former Crimes OIC of the Narahenpita Police who is currently in remand custody over hiding information of the murder of former Sri Lankan Rugger Player Wasim Thajudeen has today(10) given a confidential statement to Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris regarding the murder case it has been reported.

All Schools At Salawa-Kosgama Area Which Closed Due To Army Camp Fire Due To Reopen On Monday
All schools in Salawa-Kosgama area which closed due to the explosion and fire occurred in Salawa Army Camp is due to reopen on Next Monday(13) the government has announced today(10).
The Government has decided to provide free school uniforms to those who are affected due to Salawa Army Camp fire.An allowance of Rs.50,000 too due to be provided for owners of houses which were severely damaged due to fire it has been stated.
The Troops have already begun the reconstruction process of damaged properties and cleaning water resources in salawa area which affected by the fire.

Authorities Have Issued Fresh Landslide Warnings To Three Districts
The authorities have issued fresh Landslide Warnings to three districts today(10) namely Kandy,Ratnapura and Kegalle Districts due to the bad weather prevailing in those areas at the moment.
Accordingly the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has today issued landslide warnings to Gangaihalakorale Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas of Kandy District,Kiriella and Kuruwita in Ratnapura District and several areas of Kegalle District as these areas are being identified as potential risk areas for landslides.
People in these areas have been advised to be vigilant on possible rock falls,landslides ,subsidence and cut slopes by the NBRO if the rain continues further..

Indian Embassy In Sri Lanka Signed Agreements With Four Agencies To Construct 4000 Houses In Sri Lanka
The Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka has today(10) signed agreements with four local and international agencies to handover the work of 4000 houses project to be implemented in Central and Uva Provinces.
This 4000 houses project is a part of the Indian Programme on constructing 50,000 house's in Sri Lanka.
The Indian Embassy Officials signed the agreements with UN HABIAT,International Federation Of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies with Sri Lanka Red Cross,Habitat for Humanity and National Housing Development Authority regarding the constructing of 4000 houses project.

Parliamentary Speaker Rejected The No Confidence Motion Against Parliamentary Secretary General
The Parliamentary Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has today(10) announced that there's no need to submit a no confidence motion against Parliamentary Secretary General Dhammika Dissanayake as the joint opposition group has handed over a no confidence motion signed by 32 MP's to the speaker on Tuesday against secretary general .
Through the no confidence motion joint opposition group has requested to remove the Parliamentary Secretary General due to his failure to carryout his work on the supplementary estimate vote held on 05th of May 2016.
The speaker has stated based on the recommendations of parliamentary committee appointed by him to investigate on the issue, that there's no need to submit a no confidence motion against Parliamentary Speaker at this stage on humanitarian grounds.

Police Sargent Was Killed Due To A Motor Bicycle-Jeep Collision Occurred In Polonnaruwa
A Police Sargent attached to Welikanda Police Station in Polonnaruwa(In North Central Province) was killed the motor bicycle he was riding in collided with a Jeep at the yaya-26 area of attanakadawala on the Girithale-Bakamuna Main Road today(10).
The 52 year old Police Sargent had succumbed to his injuries after admitted to attanakadawala hospital in critical condition.
The Police have detained the driver of the Jeep which belonging to Mahaweli Development Authority and he is due to be produced before Hingueakgoda Magistrate Court.
