The suspect is due to be produced before the Maligakande Magistrate Court today(25).
Twelve Bus Passengers Have Been Injured Due To SLTB -Private Bus Collision
Twelve Bus Passengers including two pregnant females have been injured and hospitalized due to a Sri Lanka Transport Board(SLTB)-Private Bus collision occurred at bulagala,Dambulle area last night(24).
The injured were admitted to the Dambulle Base Hospital for treatment.
The accident was occurred after a Sri Lanka Transport Board Bus traveling from Anuradhapura to Matale had collided with a Private Bus traveling from Anuradhapura to Kandy arrived in from opposite direction .
Most of the injured passengers were traveling in the Private Bus due to the breaks of the Bus not functioned as a result of the rain prevailed in at the time of the accident caused this according to the driver of the Private Bus.

his assistant who were arrested by the Bribery Commission officials yesterday (23)over accepting a Rs.20,000 as a bribe to enter a person's name to a electoral register had been remanded until 07th of November by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today (24).

Sri Lanka's first National Epilepsy Center built at a cost
of Rs.46,000 billion in Colombo National Hospital has been innaugurated by the President Maithripala Sirisena and Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne this morning (24).
Around 85% of the cost spent to built the 10 storied Center had provided by Saudi Development Fund as a loan and the rest of the cost provided by Sri Lankan government according to the Ministry Of Health.
The center is equipped with modern medical facilities including a neuro clinic,neuro pharmacy,EEG Unit,Public communication system and Health Education Unit.
The center has also equipped with an international standard Seminar hall.

A Female Was Arrested In Kilinochchi With A Stock Of Kerala Cannabis
A 32 year old Female was arrested by the Special Bureau of Deputy Inspector General Of Police in Kilinochchi and Mulathivu with 04 Kilo Grammes and 700 Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in her possession in Kilinochchi today (24).
The suspected female was arrested while preparing to transport the stock of Kerala Cannabis from Weththalakeni to Trincomalee area it has been reported.
The female is due to be produced before the Kilinochchi Magistrate Court.

Around six to seven females suffering from Breast Cancer have been diagnosed in Sri Lanka every month according to the Dr.Nayana De Alwis attached to the National Cancer Control Programme.
Addressing a National Programme On "World Breast Cancer Awareness Month " and Distribution of self breast examination mannequins " held in National Blood Transfusion Center in Narahenpita this noon(24) Dr.Alwis has stressed that around 2350 females suffering from Breast Cancer have been diagnoses in 2009 alone and 22.2 females per 100,000 population of the country are being suffering from the disease which can be cured if diagnoses early.
Every 90 second one Breast Cancer death has been reported in somewhere around the globe and every sixty seconds a female suffering from Breast Cancer has been diagnosed she has stressed.
