A Flight To Fly Jaffna From One Hour

 The Airport in Rathmalana has provided Air travel  facilties for passangers to fly to Jaffna within one hour and ten minutes four days a week the Airport authorities have stated .

Accordingly these flights will be operated during Tuesday,Thursday,Saturday and Sunday.

David Pieris Avaiation and Fits Aviation had provided Cesna-208  Airplanes for this service and a single flight of this service can accomadate Twelve passangers it has been stated.A passanger who is flying to Jafna can carry  a luggage weighing Seven Kilo Grammes the Airport had stated.

Several Areas In Southern Province Experienced Tremors Due To An Earthquake

 Several areas in the Southern Province had experienced  tremors as a result of the Earthquake occurred in the Indian ocean last noon (01).

The earthquake weighing 5.3 in the richter scale  was occured 1260 Kilo meters away  from the Indian ocean and as a result tremors occurred in Galle ,Neluwa and Akuressa areas  according  to the Geology and Mines Bureau.However no Tsunami threat was occurred as a result the Bureau had stated.

A Transformer Was Exploded In Maligawatte Area

 A transformer in Maligawatte area at Maradana (Colombo District)was completely destroyed Yesterday (01)after exploding it followed by fire.

The  fire was doused completely by the  fire brigade of the  Colombo Urban council .The cause of the explosion  has not yet been revealed .
