Seventeen Indian Crew Members Of An Oil Tanker Had Tested Positive For Corona Virus After Their Arrival At Colombo Port

All 17 member crew of an Indian Oil
Tanker arrived at Colombo Port few days back had been tested positive for Corona virus and now under treatment according to sources.

Five Sri Lankans and their family members who had contacted with some of the Corona positive crew members of the Oil tanker had also under self isolation the sources have added .

All 17 crew members of the Indian Oil Tanker were undergone "PCR "Tests after one of them had shown Corona Virus symptoms soon after arrival according to officials .

The oil tanker which these crew members were in carried 4000 metric tonnes of fuel to Sri Lanka and now the tanker is being anchored at Trincomalee Port to unload the fuel .

Two Corona positives had been
reported today  (28)in the country , raising the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 3362 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly two arrivals from Lebanon had been tested positive for Corona virus today whilst under quarantine at a quarantine Center.

At the moment a  total number of 139 Corona positives are bring treated at Government Hospitals.

Two Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (28)

Two Corona positives had been
discharged from government hospitals today (28) after full recocety according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals after full recocery had risen to 3210 the unit has stated.

At the moment 139 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals.

The 68 year old actor who had acted over 64 Sri Lankan films had admitted to Colombo National Hospital two days back  .

His funeral arrangements to be   announced later.
