No Confidence Motion Against Prime Minister Had Entered To Parliament Order Book

The no confidence motion prepared
against the Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe by Joint Opposition group and handed over to the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya was entered to the Parliament order book today(26) it has been revealed.

The no confidence motion is due to be taken up for debate on 04th of April.It was signed by 55 MP's mainly from the Joint Opposition

Some Classes Of Mahamaiylankulama Primary School In Vavuniya Closed Due To A Wasp Nest

Authorities of Mahamaiylankulama
Primary School in Vavuniya had closed several primary classes of the school today(26) due to a provoking of a Wasp nest at the school.

After provoking of the Wasp nest teachers and Principal of the school put primary class children in to a class room and locked it in view of preventing them of being getting attacked by the wasps it has been reported.

After the situation returning  to normalcy the school staff had summoned   the parents to the school and handed over  the children to them.

The situation occurred as the authorities have not taken any step to remove the wasp nest as requested by school staff.

Around 25 Acres Of Land Belongs To A Mount Reserve In Wellawaya Had Destroyed

Around 25 acres of Land belongs to the
Wawulgalapathana mountain reserve in Siyambalagunaya ,Wellawaya area had destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted in the reserve last night(25).

The fire is still spreading and authorities have failed to control the fire due to the dry weather prevails in the area ig has been revealed.

Supreme Court chaired by Chief Justice Priyasad Dep which taken up the appeal submitted by Former MP Duminda Silva and four others against Death Penalty they have received over the killing of Former Minister Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and four others for hearing today (26) ,had postponed the hearing until  tomorrow(27).

The lawyers appeared behhalf of Duminda Silva and four others who are in death row ,had informed The Supreme Court that there  were lapses on the death penalty judgment given by the tribunal of the Colombo High Court  against the accused.

A House Was Damaged In Athurugiriya Due To Gun Shots

A house at H.R.Jothipala Mawatha in
Athurugiriya was damaged due to a gun shots fired by an unidentified gunman early this morning(26) according to the Police.

The gun shots fired from a T-56 firearm it has been revealed.

However no one was injured due to the incident and Athurugiriya Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.

Twenty Persons Were Injured Due To A Road Accident

Around twenty persons including a
driver and conductor have been injured and hospitalized after the private bus they were travelling in toppled over at Dimbula -Mountvernon watte area on  Nawalapitiya -Thalawakale main road this evening(26).

The injured were admitted to the Kotagala Provincial Hospital for treatment and few of tbe critically injured were transferred to the Nuwara Eliya Hospital for further treatment.

The Private Bus travelliing from Nawalapitiya to Thalawakale area had toppled over the road  due to the high speed driving according to the Dimbula Police.


Sri Lanka Navy Had Destroyed Eight Super Bullet Proof Motor Cars Used By Former Sri Lankan Presidents And A LTTE Owned Ship By Drowning Them In Deep Sea

Sri Lanka Navy had today (26) destroyed eight super Bullet Proof Motor Cars used by the Sri Lankan Presidents during the war period here and a Ship "Velin" belongs to LTTE Terrorist Organization by drowning them in deep western seas near Negambo area after removing communication equipment and other essential parts belongs to them . Navy had transported these valuable Motor Cars and the Ship handed over to them by the President's office  to the sea by using a goods transport Ship owned by the Sri Lanka Navy it has been revealed.

Around 25  Super Bullet Proof Motor Cars used by former Sri Lankan Presidents Late J.R Jayawardena ,R.Premadasa ,Chandrika Bandaranaike and Mahinda Rajapakshe and former LTTE Leader and MP Karuna were handed over to the Navy to destroy ,However Navy had managed to destroy only 8 of them and the Arms transported Ship which owned by one of the LTTE Leaders Kumaran Padmanathan alias KP The Navy had stated.

The Ship was brought to Sri Lanka by the Navy from Indonesia and stationed at Rangala Navy Base.

These Motor Cars and the Ship have been destroyed due to fear that If they were auctioned publicly there's a possibility that Underworld Crimes gang members may have purchase them according to sources.

A Person Was Killed Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

.A 63 year old person was killed due to a Wild Elephant attack at Aralaganwila in Polonnaruwa District this morning(26).

The critically injured person who was attacked by the Wild Elephant while on the way to his Maize cultivation land had succumbed to his injuries after admitting to Aralaganwila Hospital.The deceased was a resident of Aralaganwila area it has been revealed.

A Student Arrested And Remanded Over Posting Anti Racial And Hatred Posts In FB Was Further Remanded

Image result for fb postingA student attached to the Royal Collage in Colombo who was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over posting hatred ,anti religious  and racial posts in Facebook which led to communal violence, and later remanded .had been ordered to remand further until 09th of April by the Colombo Additional Magistrate Chanima Wijebandara today(26).
The suspected student was produced before the Colombo Additional Magistrate today and CID Officials had informed  the Additional Magistrate that the suspect had posted such posts under a fake profile indicating he is Sinhala national although he is a Muslim .
The Magistrate Court had earlier refused to grant bail to the student citing that the Court has no powers to grant bail over the charges leveled against the student.

Two Persons Were Arrested With 44 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala Cannabis

Two persons have been arrested by the Hambegamuwa Police with 44 Kilo Grammes of Kerla Cannabis in their possession at Hambegmuwa ,Thanamalwila area today(26) along with a Machine powdered the Cannabis and a Hand Tractor .

The suspects are residents of Suriyaara and Hambegamuwa areas.

The estimated value of the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody is around Rs.2.5 million it has been revealed.

The Suspects are due to produce before the Wellawaya Magistrate Court.

A Chinese National Was Arrested With 12 Gem Stones By The Airport Customs

The stock of Gem Stones which wrapped in special wrappers and concealed in small boxes worth around Rs.21 million it has been revealed.
Blue Sapphires,Padmaraga ,Aranool and Vairody among the Gem Stones brought by the suspect according to Customs.

The suspected Chinese National had arrived in  a CatheyPacific Airlines  from Hong Kong according to reports.
