322 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (17)

 A Total of 322 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (17) ,increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 88,862 according to the National Covid-19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly 2600 more Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and Quarantine Centers .\

Former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake And 07 Others Had Been Remanded Over The Central Bank Bond Scam

 Special High Court tribunal judge Panel had today /(17) remanded 08 persons including the former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake , the director of  Perpetual Treasuries Limited Arjuna Aloysius and the Chief Executive Officer of the Perpetual Treasuries Limited Kasun Palisena until 23 rd of March over their involvement in Central Bank bond scam. Issue .

The judge Panel  had ordered to remand the suspects over incurring a RS.36,89 billion to the government through the Bond scam and  informed the Prisons Authorities to   produce the suspects before the Tribunal on 23rd of March .

Meanwhile all the 08 suspects that had been remanded today were sent to the Quarantine Center of the Welikada Prions

A Person Was Arrested With A Haul If Heroin Yesterday (16)

 Special Police Task Force Personal had arrested a person With 2 kilos and 230 Grammes of Heroin in possession at Rajagiriya area yesterday (16) it has been reported .

Accordingly the stock of Heroin was wrapped in two parcels and worth more than Rs.20 million the Task Force had announced. .

The Suspect is scheduled to be handed over to Police Anti Narcotic Bureau to question further .
