Presidential Commission To Investigate Into Complaints Regarding Missing Persons To Convene A New Session In Jaffna District
The Presidential Commission To Investigate Into Complaints Regarding Missing Persons has decided to convene a special session in Jaffna District regarding investigating complaints of missing persons.
.
This session is due to be held in January according to the Commission.Up to now the Commission had convened two sessions in Jaffna regarding investigating complaints of Missing persons there.
The period of the Presidential Investigation Commission To Investigate Into Complaints Regarding Missing Persons is due to be expired on 15th of February and President is responsible for extending the period of the commission.
Water Board Employees Have Withdrawn From 0.T Work And Maintenance Work -Water Board Joint Trade Union Alliance
The Employees of the National Water Supplies And Drainage Board had withdrawn from Over Time Work and Weekend Maintenance Services with effect from today(26) by demanding to pay their full bonus which has been slashed by the Water Board Management .
The Water Board Employees will resort an Island Wide three hour strike action on this Monday(28) from 9 a.m to 12 noon to win their demand according to The Joint Trade Union Alliance Of Water Board.During the three hour strike period maintenance and renewal activities ,Customer Care Services including Issuing Water Bills and Water Bill Payments will not be carried out the Joint Trade Union Alliance has said.
If their demand is not met within coming days the Water Board Trade Unions will launch an island wide continuous strike action the Alliance has stated.

The suspect has been arrested with 363 Chains and 07 Bracelets in his possession weighing 2013 .7 Grammes according to the Custom Officers.

Four Persons of the same family have died and Three others injured due to a Tipper Truck toppled on to the Van they were travelling in at Nelumdeniya Area of Colombo-Kandy main road this evening according to the Police.The injured have been hospitalized Police have said.
