Hikkaduwa Popular Tourist Resort Has Been Opened For The Foreign Tourists

The Popular tourist Resort in the Southern Province ,Hikkaduwa had received the first Batch of Foreign Tourists yesterday (16) after a lapse of few months .The tourism industry in the South had been crippled since months as a result of the Corona pandemic .

Sri Lanka is now allowing the fully vaccinated foreign tourists to visit the country in accordance with the Health Guidelines .

Milco Chairman Requesting The Public To Consume Liquid Milk More

The Chairman of the Milco Company which pioneered in the production of Liquid Milk in Sri Lanka ,Lasantha Wikramasinha has appealed to the public to consume liquid milk more in view of the price hike of Milk Powder .

Milco Company is planning to increase the price paid to the Milk Farmers per a Liter of Milk by Rs.7 with effect from November Chairman has stated. "If the public can consume liquid milk more ,money going to the hands of Milk farmers can be increased further " he has further said ,

649 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (16)

Another 649 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (16) ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 531,070 according to the Epidemiology Unit ,

At the moment 25,293 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and Under Home Care system the Unit has stated .

A Total of 6513 "PCR" Tests and 3679 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country yesterday (15).

23 Corona Deaths Were Reported Today (16)

Another 23 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (16) ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 13,472 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 17 males and 06 females had died due to the Corona infection the DGHS has announced .Out of the deceased 18 were over 60 years of age and 05 were belonged to the 30-60 year age group .
