Hatton Magistrate Had Remanded A Police Constable Of MP S

Hatton District Court Judge and Magistrate J.Trotsky had yesterday (25)further remanded the Police Constable attached to the security division of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP S.B Dissanayake who had shot and injured two youths over obstructing the MP's vehicle on 07 th of November at Polpitiya ,Ginigathgena area .

However Other Police Constable remanded over the incident had been released by the Magistrate on Rs.1 million suerty bail yesterday (25).Both Constables had been remanded until yesterday by the Hatton Magistrate on 08 th of November .


Defense Ministry Informed Immigration And Emigration Officers To Avoid 704 CID Police Officers Goimg Abroad

Ministry Of Defense had yesterday (25)
requested the Immigration and Emigration Department officers attached to Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport in writing to inform Criminal investigations Department (CID)Director if 704 police officers attached to the CID are attempt to go abroad it has been reported.

Defense Ministry had sent the list of names of the Police officers to immigration and Emigration officials at the Katunayake Airport and the list had been computerized already according to reports .

This step has been taken by the Defense Ministry after Police Inspector Adrian Nishantha De Silva has left the country with his family without informing the authorities last sunday (24).

A Four Member Committee Appointed To Approve Appointmenta Of State Institution Heads

President Gotabaya Rajapakshe has
appointed a four member Expert committee to approve the appointments of the heads of State institutions including corporations and Boards today (25).

Accordingly former Presidential secretary Lalith Weerathunge ,Dr
Nalaka Godahewa ,Enterpreneur Susantha Ratnayake and Dian Gomaz have been appointed to the committe .Out of these members first two got court cases over involved in irregularities during the previous Rajapakshe regime .

This Expert committe had been appointed in view of achieving a goal to convert Loss incurring state Institutions to Profitable institutions according to the President Rajapakshe .

Soon after appointing the Cabinet   president Gotabaya Rajapakshe had stated that skillfull persons will be appointed as heads of state institutions through a selection committee .

Several Roads In Colombo Had Been Submerged As A Result Of Heavy Showers

Several roads in Colombo District
including Armour Street to Kotahena Junction and Colombo fort and Borella had been submerged due to the continuous heavy showers prevailing  in Colombo since this noon.

Heavy traffic had been prevailed in as a result of the submerged roads in Armour street to Kotahena junction and Colombo Fort -Borella roads it has been rreported.

Two Persons Injured Due To A Luxary Bus -Tipper Truck Collision

Two persons had received minor
injuries due to a Luxary Bus -Tipper Truck collision occured at Mankulam area on Jaffna-Kandy main road this morning (25)according to Mankulam police .

The incident has occurred as the two vehicles had not been able to control their speed due to the heavy showers prevailed in the area it has been revealed.

Mankulam Police are conducting an investigations over the imcident .
