A 17 Year Old Student Has Died Due To An Assault Of A 15 Year Old Student

A 17 year old student has died as a
result of an assault of another 15 year old student of the same school at  Beruwala  today (25).

The incident occurred when the deceased student who was a prefect of the school and studied in Advanced Level class,had questioned a 15 year old student over wearing the school uniform illegally .As a result the question developed in to a heated argument and then to  a brawl as the 15 year old student has assaulted the deceased student, However later both of them sat for the year end examination.

After the exam prefect student felt sick znd after taking pain killers given by a teacher he has gone to house and fell to sleep.As he didn't get up residents have admitted him to Kalutara Hospital ,Where he was  transferred to Nagoda Hospital and than To Colombo National Hospital for treatment .

Later he was again transferred back to NaGoda Hospital where he has died whilst receiving treatrent at Intensive care unit of the Hospital.

Beruwala Police have arrested the 15 year old student over the death .


Four Shops In Panadura Town Had Been Damaged Due To A Fire

Four Shops in Panadura Town
(Colombo) had been damaged due to a fire erupted in a Building Metarials shop few hours ago today (25).

Fire fighters attached to fire brigade along with residents of the area and Police have doused the fire before spreading it further .The fire erupted in a  Building Metarials shop spreads to three nearby shops it has been revealed .
No casualties has been reported due to the incident and the cause of the fire has not yet been revealed .

President Has Called A Special Meeting Of Senior Police Heads Tomorrow (26)

President Maithripala Sirisena has
called a special meeting of all senior Deputy Inspector General's Of Police  (DIG )and Deputy Inspector General's Of Police in Colombo tomorrow (26)to discuss on the current security situation of the country it has been reported.

The meeting is scheduled to be held in Presidential Secretariet in Colombo tomorrow around 12 noon.

Inspector General Of Police Pujith Jayasundara has informed on this meeting through a special Police message .

IGP Pujith Jayasundara Has Been Questioned By CID For Nearly Four Hours

Criminal Investigations Department 
(CID )has today (25)questioned Inspector General Police (IGP)Pujith Jayasundara for nearly four hours regarding the ongoing investigations of assassination plot against President Maithripala Sirisena, Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe and Assistant Superintendent Of Police (ASP),at CID Headquarters in Colombo.

IGP Jayasundara has appeared before CID This morning to give a statement regarding the assassination plot as per the request made by CID .However IGP has earlier avoided appear before CID  when requested to give a statement regarding the assassination plot it has been revealed.

IGP is due to be called back to CID in another date to get further details regarding the plot according to CID.

CID has already recorded statements from a large number of Police officers including Two senior Deouty Inspector General's Of Police (DIG) regarding the Assasination plot .

Presiden Maithripala Sirisena Told Foreign Media ,Even Ranil Wkiramasinghe Has The Majority Of Support In Parliament ,He Will Never Reappoint Him As Premier

President Maithripala Sirisena has
today (25)told the Foreign media correspondents here ,he will never reappoint Constitutionally elected  Premier Ranil Wikramasinghe as Prime Minister even he has the majority of support in Parliament.

This decision has been taken due to a policy matter with premier Wikramasinghe not due to a personal matter President has said during a meeting held with foreign media correspondents in Colombo today  (25).

President has further told the media -"Even if the United National Party recommended Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka for the post of Prime Minister  will never appoint him as Field Marshal Fonseka is a suspect of assassination plot against me .

"I have clearly requested UNP to nominate another candidate for the premiership. I have removed Premier Wikramasinghe from the post on 26 th of October due to a corrupt activities he has done and will appoint a Committee to probe corrupt actions of him .

Premier Wikramasinghe's economic policies not suited for the country and I have requested him to change his economic policies after the defeat in Provincial Council Elections in last February, but he has not listned to it "president has stressed.

He has collided with Premier Wikramasinghe around 100 times over his policies and even Cabinet was aware on this according to President.

Removal of Prime Minister, Appointment of New Prime Minister and dissolvement of Parliament had been done according to the Constitution President Sirisena has again told by reminding no one has Challanged the removal of Premier Wikramasinghe and appointment of a new prime Mimister in court .
