Director General Of Health Services Issued New Health Guidelines For Functions And Workplaces
Under the new Health Guidelines issued by Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) today (30) wedding receptions and Cinema Halls known as Corona cluster making events are given permission to invite more guests for the events .However DGHS himself stated that there's a risk of escalating the number of Corona positives reporting in the country at present ,
Accordingly wedding functions hold inside a hotel can be held with participation of one third of the total capacity which is 200 guests in maximum and if holding outside the hotel or reception hall the maximum number of Guests can be attended for a function will be 250 persons .
Cinema halls were given permission to screen films with the participation of 75 percent of the total capacity and only 20 persons can be attended for a funeral according to the New Health Guidelines issued by DGHS which will be valid until 15th of December .Under the health guidelines workplaces can be functioned under the strict health guidelines .

Another 18 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (30) Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 14,346 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .
Accordingly 11 males and 07 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS Has stated ,Out of the deceased 11 were over 60 years of age and 07 were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .
Number Of PCR And Rapid Antigen Tests Performed During Last Two Days Had Been Dropped
The number of daily "PCR " and Rapid Antigen Tests performed in the country during last two days had been reduced according to the Health Circles ,Accordingly less then 10,000 "PCR " and Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country Although World Health Organization had urged the South East Asian Countries to implement quick actions to prevent the spreading of new Corona Variant "Omicron " in the region .
Only 5731 and 6615 "PCR " tests had been performed in the country yesterday (29) and today (30) respectively and only 2868 (29th )and 3100 (30)Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed during last two days it has been revealed .

Air Mailed Narcotic Parcels Found In Central Mail Exchange
Officials attached to Anti Narcotic Unit iof Sri Lanka customs had tofay (25) taken into custody 10 air mailed parcels containing a stock of cannabis variety "Kush " narcotic weighing 1.3 Kilo grammes Central mail exchange ,Colombo .
These 10 parcels were air mailed from USA Canada ,Italy and England to fake addresses in Ahangama ,Kandy and piliyamdala areas it has been revealed The stock of narcotic recovered from these parcels is worth around Rs.20.million according to officials .
Custom officials had opened these parcels as no one came to collect those to the Central mail exchange .
Anti police narcotic Bureau is carrying out further investigrations in this regard .

Government Allowed Private Sector To Import Chemical Fertlizer
After promoting Organic fertilizer for local crops in view of creating a green agriculture in the country for months Government has decided to give permission to private sector to import Chemical fertilizer such as Agro Chemicals and weedicides with effect from today (24).
However the Government's policy to promoting green agriculture in the country will not be rolled back Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage has stated today .

Many Patients In Government Hospitals Faced Enormous Difficulties Due To The Strike Of Health Professions
Tens of thousands of OPD patients and resident patients in Government Hospitals had faced enormous difficulties as many services in Hospitals are being paralyzed due to the two day Island wide strike launched by 21 Health Professions including Nurses, Professions Supplementary To Medicine (PSM) ,Paramedical officers demanding solutions for 07 of their service demands .
As a result of the strike Patient care in wards ,Lab tests ,Radiography tests ,EEG/ECG Tests and issuing of drugs in Government Hospitals and Dengue Control activities and PCR And Rapid Antigen Tests had been halted it has been reported .

Six persons including Four School Children had died after the ferry they have in Capsized in Kinniya ,Trincomalee early this morning (23).
Seventeen persons including School Children were there in the ferry at the time of this incident and Navy rescue teams had saved the lives of 11 of the drowned passengers of the ferry with minor injuries The injured were admitted to Kinniya Hospital for treatment ,
