Three Villages In Mathugama Named As Isolation Areas

 Three villages in Mathugama Divisional Secretariet  at Kalutara District had been named as an isolation areas today (18).

Accordingly villages Ovotigala ,Badugama and Badugama new colony had been declared as an isolated areas .

 17 Corona positives  had. Been reported from the Mathugama Divisional Secretariet so far. It has been revealed .

Sixteen Police Officers Of Armour Street Police Station Had Been Sent To Quarantine After 02 Family Members Of. A Policeman Had Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Sixteen Police Officers attached to Armour Street Police station in Colombo Including the OIC had been sent to quarantine today (18) after two family members Of a Police sergeant of a Police station had been tested positive for Corona virus according to the Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.

As the Police Sergant  whose family members had  been tested positive for Corona virus ,had reported for work during last few days I,Armour Street Police station had been closed down this evening for few hours for disinfection the Police station 

After few hours the Police station had been reopenef by using police officers from other police stations .

Four Villages In Kuliyapitiya Area. Are Being Locked Down After Identifying 11 Corona Positives

 Four villages in Kuliyapitiya  area. At North Western Province had been locked down after identifying 11 Corona positives from these villages it has been reported .

Accordingly travel restrictions are being imposed in Villages  Urupitiya,Gayyawa,Athneruwa . And Pallewela .

The Corona cluster has been created after four persons including  a bride groom attended a wedding held at a church had tested positive for Corona virus .These four persons had attended the wedding held on 02, ND of October and tested positive for the virus on 12 the of October

Seven of their close contacts were tested positive for Corona virus later 

Authorities To Provide RS.5000 Each For The Famillies Under Quarantine Curfew In Gampha District .

Distribution of RS.5000 each among 72,345 families in 19  police divisions at Gampaha District which are under Quarantine Curfew is scheduled to be held this Tuesday(20)according to provincial Authorities .

Ths allowance will be given for those families who had lost income due to the Quarantine Curfew imposed in 19 Police divisions in Gampaha to prevent the spreading of Corona virus and  Rs.400 million had been allocated for this purpose.

121 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (17)

 A total of 121 Corona positives had been reported in the country yesterday (17) increasing the total  number of  Corona positives reported  so far to 5497 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly out of these positives 115 were members of the Brsndix Corona cluster and their contacts and 05 were foreign arrivals quarantine at quarantine centers the Unit has stated .

At the moment 2081 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals it has been reported .

meanwhile 9513 "PCR' tests had been performed yesterday(17)in the country which is the highest Daily "PcR "tests carried out in the country so far .
