Minor Staff And Attendants Attached To Govt.Hospitals To Launch Islandwide Sick Note Campaign Tomorrow

The Minor Staff and Attendants attached to all Government Hospitals throughout the Island are due to launch one day sick note campaign tomorrow(29) followed by a protest march and protest campaign in front of the Health Ministry in Colombo demanding solutions for 08 of their service demands the All Ceylon Health Services Union has announced.

According to Union President Gamini Kumarasinha the health workers who are reporting sick leave tomorrow will gathered in front of Colombo National Hospital by 12 noon and marched towards the Health Ministry where a Protest Campaign due to be held.

The All Ceylon Health Services Union has demanding  immediate solutions for 08 service demands of Hospital Minor Staff and Attendant Staff including recruiting 3000 casual minor staff workers to Permanent Cadre ,granting Uniform Allowance etc."The Health Authorities should be responsible if any breakdown of health services has occur in Government Hospitals tomorrow due to this sick note campaign as they failed to t provide solutions for their demands" stated  Mr.Kumarasinha
