Prices Of Few Essential Goods Are Due tO Be Increased

Prices of few essential goods including Rice  Milk Powder ,Gas and Cement will be increased soon as a result of the rising prices in world  market according to State Minister of  Consumer affairs Lasantha Alagiyawanne 

The prices of these goods will goes  up at some point  as a result of the rising prices  in world market state Minister has stressed ,

More Than 100,000 Health Workers To Protest In Front Of Hospitals Tomorrow (22)

 More than 100,000 Health Workers in Government Hospitals and Health Institutions in the country are due to hold a massive Protest  in front of the institutions from 12 noon to 1 p.m tomorrow (22) demanding solutions for  08 unsolved health service demands according to the convener of the Health Trade Union Alliance Saman Rathnapriya .

Accordingly Health workers including Nurses ,PSM's and Minor staff will hold a protest campaign in front of hospitals and health institutions by demanding solutions for 08 demands including granting Covid  allowance suspended by the authorities ,

1321 Corona Positives Reported Today (21) -Less Then 9000 "PCR " Tests Performed Yesterday (20)

 A total of 1321 Corona positives had been reported today (21) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 507,330 according to Epidemiology Unit .

The total number of "PCR " and  "Rapid Antigen "Tests performed daily in the country  is on decrease according to sources ,A total of 8838 "PCR " tests and 2181 "Rapid Antigen " tests had been performed in the country yesterday (20) it has been revealed .

At the moment 60,906 Corona Positives are being treated at Government /Private Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and Under home care system it has been reported ,Meanwhile 1047 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals and quarantine centers today . 

Another 66 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (21)

 Another 66 Corona deaths had been reported today (21) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far  to 12,284 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS ) ,

Accordingly 36 females and 30 males had died due to Corona infection today the DGHS has stated .

Out of the deceased 53 were over 60 years of age and 11 were belonged to 30-60 year age group .Two  of the deceased  were under 30 years old ,
