Two Youths Were Killed Due To A Motor Cycle-Bus Collision
Two youths were killed due to a Motor Cycle-Bus collision occurred in
Passara-Kanavaralla area (Badulla)yesterday(31).
The Deceased had been identified as 22 and 21 year old youth and one of them was attached to Sri Lanka Army.
Three persons were riding on the Motor Cycle at the time of the accident it has been revealed.

Health Minister To Import A Medicine Manufactured Through Papaya Extract From India For Dengue Patients
Minister Of Health,Nutrition and
Indeginous Medicine Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has stated that he will take steps to import an Indian drug made with an extract of papaya(Papol) to Sri Lanka for the use of Dengue Patients.

This drug will be distributed throughout the island through Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation .
Above mentioned drug increases the red blood cells in human body and found very effective for the Dengue Patients whose red blood cells decreaescd due to the disease Minister has stressed .
Health Minister has revealed these facts during the launching of twelve new Ayurveda Products of "Pranajeeva", Brand to the local market held at BMICH in Colombo on last Monday(30)evening .

(CID) has arrested the Astrologer Vijitha Rohana Wijemuni today(31) over making false Astrological prediction on President Maithripala Sirisena .
The former Navy Officer who became famous after attacking former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi when he was in Sri Lanka in 1987 ,Vijitha he had predicted that the President Maithripala Sirisena"s life is in danger before 26th of January the day that the transit of saturn had aken a place.

Two persons got injured and Ihospitalized after an attack carried out by a group of persons armed with swords at a shop in Arasadi area at Nallur,Jaffna (Northern Province)today (31).
The injured were admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital for treatment.
The attackers who arrived in motor cycles had attacked the shop. and fled away from scene after throwing petrol bombs at the shop it has been reported.
The incident was recorded in the CCTV camera of the shop .
Jaffna Police conducting an investigation on the incident suspecting the attack might have been carried out by the armed gang "Ava' group.

Police have arrested six persons over excavating a Treasure inside of an ancient canal in Eppawela -Kattiya area last night(30) .
The suspects had been arrested while excavating a Treasure inside a cave near Kattiya reservoir after been removed water from a section of the canal it has been reported.They have removed the water of a section of a canal from a motor activated through an electricity taken from a nearby house Police have stated.

Police Have Arrested A Bus Driver Over Killing Of 18 Buffaloes
Police have arrested a Driver of a Private Bus traveling to Moratuwa (Colombo)from Kankasanthurai(Northern Province) over killing of 18 buffaloes and injuring another 10 after knocking down their herd on A-9 Road in Mankulam area .

Police Recovered 21 Old Land Mines Hidden Inside A Tree Trunk
Police have recovered around 21 old land mines used by LTTE rebels during the war period , hidden inside a hollow area of a tree trunk in Monaragala-Athimale-Thrikonagala ,Yala reserve area yesterday(30).
Athimale Police have recovered these land mines as per a tip received by the Police .Police have also recovered a box containing 750 live bullets (T-56 variety ) inside the tree trunk.

Court Of Appeal Granted Legal Permission For Malabe Private Medical Collage Students To Register At Sri Lanka Medical Council
The Court Of Appeal has today(31) granted legal permission to the Medical Degree holders who are passing out from the controversial Private Medical Collage in Malabe(SATIM) to register in Sri Lanka Medical Council(SLMC) as other Sri Lankan MBBS doctors .
The Chairman of the Court Of Appeal Vijith Malalgoda and Judge S.Thurairaja had delivered the much awaited verdict regarding the Private Medical Collage in Malabe this morning.
The judges have delivered the verdict on SLMC Registration issue of Private Medical Collage students ,after considering a petition filed at the Appeals Court by a Female student attached to Malabe Private Medical Collage requesting legal permission to register at Sri Lanka Medical Council.
Trade Unions of MBBS Doctors in the country along with Medical Faculty Students Unions and Other University Students Unions are involving in country wide protest campaigns against granting SLMC Registration for Private Medical Collage Students in Malabe.
