2372 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (17)

 A total of 2372 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (17)  increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 233,064 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly. Out of the total number of  Corona positives reported yesterday ,562 were reported in Colombo district and 11 were foreign. Arrivals .

The majority of the Corona positives reported in Colombo district which is 95 positives had been reported from Awissawella area it had been revealed 

At the moment  35,256 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and Quarantine Treatment centers 

51 Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (17)

 Another 51 Corona deaths had been reported yesterday (17),Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 2425 According to Ministry Of Health .

Accordingly 31 males and 20 females had died due to the Covid Pneumonia and complications occurred as. A result of the non communicable diseases they have suffered from the Ministry has stated. .

Out of the 51 Corona deaths reported yesterday ,37 were of the she over 60 years it has been revealed .

Prices Of Vegetables And Rice Are On The Increase

 Prices of Rice varieties and Vegetable in the open market are on the increase at present  as a result of the recent fuel price hike it has been reported  Prices of vegetables in  economic centers throughout the island  which are opened today (17) are being also high  the sources had  stated ,

Meanwhile All Gas  and Milk Powder Companies had requested the Consumer Affairs authority to allow to increase the prices of Gas and Milk Powder citing the prices of Gas and Milk Powder in world  market has increased ,However the authority has not yet given approval for these requests it has been learnt ,However Consumer Affairs Authority has refused to give permission to Milk Powder companies to increase the prices of Milk Powder it has been revealed ,
