Eleven Corona Positives Reported Yesterday (23)

Eleven Corona Positives Had been

reported yesterday  (23)in the country, increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 3324 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly  out of the Eleven Corona Positives reported yesterday ,seven were arrivals from United Arab Emirates and there's one arrival each from Ethiopia and Russia who were under quarantine in quarantine Centers. However details of two positives reported yesterday had not yet been revealed.

At the moment 182 Corona Positives are being treated at Government Hospitals.  

Eleven Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (23)

A total of 11 Corona positives had been

discharged from hospitals today  (23)after full recovery according to Epidemeolgy Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals so far after recovery had risen to 3129.

At the moment 182 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals. 

Six Petitions Had Filed In Supreme Court Against 20 th Amendment

Six petitions challenging the 20 th

Amendment to the constitution which submitted to parliament, had filed at Supreme Court up to now it has been reported .

Samagi Janabalawegaya party and Tamil National Alliance(TNA ) were among those who had filed petitions at Supreme Court challenging the 20 th amendment .

Tamil National Alliance had today (23)filed a petition at Supreme Court against 20 th Amendment  ,requesting  the court to give a verdict to the Government to approve the controversial articles in the amendment  through a two third majoroty in Parliament and a referendum .

Former President Maithripala Sirisena To Appear Before Preaidential Commission On Easter Sunday Attacks

Easter Sunday attacks had today  (23)issued notices to Former President Maithripala Sirisena ,his private Secretary and three Deputy Archbishops of Colombo to appear before the Commission tomorrow (24).

Those served notices are scheduled to be given statements regarding the Easter Sunday attacks .

The Former Defense Secretary Hemasiri  Fernando and Inspector General Of Police  (IGP) Pujith Jayasundare had told before the Commission that the Former president Sirisena was responsible for not preventing Easter Sunday attacks .

After Former Defense Secretary 's syatement on Easter Sunday attacks ,Former President Sirisena had arrived at Commission premises two days back to witness the proceedings of the commission.

Earlier Easter Sunday Commission had informed the former President Sirisena and Former Prime minister Ranil Wikramasinghe to appear before Commission in early October.      

A Hotel In Bandarawela Had Destroyed Due To A Fire

A hotel located at a five storied Building in Bandarawela area had been completely destroyed due to a fire erupted in the building this noon (23).

However no casualty has been  reported due to this incident .

had involved in dousing the fire .
