Three Persons Died After A Soil Mound Collapsing Over Them

 Three persons had died and two  persons had been injured and hospitalized  due to a collapsing of a 12 feet high  soil mound over them at Madawala in Wattegama (Kandy District ) today (08) it has been reported .The injured were  admitted to Kandy Teaching Hospital for treatment .

The soil mound located in the backyard of a house had been collapsed over five persons  who were constructing a retention  wall at the time of the incident according to the authorities ,Police are investigating over the incident ,

1298 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (07)

 A total of 1298  Corona positives had been reported in the country today (07) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 620,732 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 23,452 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated , 

26 Corona Deaths Reported Today (07)

 Another 26 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (07) increasing the   total number of Corona positives reported so far to 15,621  according to Director General of Health services (DGHS).

Accordingly 17 males and 09 females had died due to Corona infection DGHS has stated.Out of the deceased 18 were over 60 years of age and 06  were belonged to 30-60  year age group .Two of the deceased were under 30 yeara of age .
