IGP Has Given His Private Mobile Number To Complain On Serious Matters Regarding The Police
The Inspector General Of Police (IGP) Pujitha Jayasundera has yesterday (08)stated that any citizen in the country can contact his private mobile number and complained if the Police officers are cortupt or they are not responding to a serious complaints.
"Anyone can complaint on serious matters regarding the Police Department to the mobile number 0718-592020 and my personal security officer will answer the phone and pass the information to me" the IGP has stated.

CID Is Investigating The VIP'S Who Backed Imprisoned Duminda Silva Over The Killing Of Former MP Premachandre-MP Hirunika Premachandre
The United National Party Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandre has yesterday (08)stated that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is currently investigating the VIP's who backed the imprisoned former MP Duminda Silva over the killing of Former MP and Presidential Adviser Bharatha Lakshman Premachandre.
The CID is also due to investigate the doctor who had given medical treatment to the Imprisoned MP Duminda Silva after the gun shooting incident occurred between Former MP's Premachandre and Silva she has stressed.
The UNP MP Hirunika Prenachandre has revealed these facts during an event organized to mark the fifth Death Anniversary of her father the Former MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandre yesterday.
Former MP Premachandre was killed during a gun shooting incident occurred five years ago at Mulleriyawa area and former MP Duminda Silva had been sentenced to death over the murder.

Tusker "Bhanu"Who Was Taken Into Custody By The CID Due To Be Hand Over To Pinnawala Orphanage
The tusker of the Ruhunu-Katharagama Devalaya"Bhanu" who was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday (07)as per a court order is due to be handed over to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage it has been reported.
The tusker was taken into custody by CID due to kept at the Devalaya without a valid licence and he was later handed over to the Wild Life officials it has been reported.
The fifteen year old tusker had been donated to the Ruhunu-Katharagama Devalaya by former Basnayake Nilame of the Devalaya Sashindra Rajapakshe.

A Female Bank Employee Was Killed Following A Speeding Bus Crashed Into The Bus Stop In Ahungalle
A female bank employee who is a sportswoman had been killed this morning when a semi luxary bus arrived in from Matara was crashed into the Bus Stop of Ahungalle(Southern Province) where she along with her father awaiting for a bus to Colombo it has been reported.
The speeding semi luxary bus first crashed into a nearby wall and after the bus stop in Ahungalle by knocking down the female bank employee according to the Police.However the father of the deceased escaped without injuries the Police have stated.
The female bank employee awaiting for a bus to travel to Colombo to attend a sports event at the time of the accident.
Police are investigating in to arrest the Bus Driver regarding the accident.

UNP MP Maharoof And Three Others Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To An Accident
Four persons including the United National Party MP M.A.M Maharoof were injured and hospitalized due to the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a lorry in the wee hours of this morning.
The injured MP,his son,daughter and the secretary were admitted to the Dambulla Hospital for treatment.
The vehicle was travelling from Kandy to Trincomalee at the time of the accident.

Navy Personal Have Arrested A Person With 300 Tablets Of Prescribed "Tramadol" Drug At Handala Area
Navy Personal in Welisara area have today(08)arrested a person with around 300 prescribed pain killer medicinal tablets "Tramadol" in his possession at a filling station in Handala Area.
The suspect was arrested as per a tip received by the Navy Personal and he along with the stock of tablets were handed over to the Mahabage Police for future course of action according to Navy.
"Tramadol" is a narcotic like pain killer medicinal drug prescribed for severe pain and whenever the dose of this drug changed breathing may stop according to medical sources.Misuse of this drug may result in addiction the sources have stated.

Police Task Force Personal Arrested Four Persons With Waste Tea
The Police Special Task Force Personal had today (08)arrested two persons who were transporting a stock of Waste Tea from a lorry at Sapugaskanda,Makola area.
As per the information receieved from them the Task Force Personal had raided a storage facility which stored waste tea and arrested another two persons along with 48,160 kilo grammes of waste tea it has been reported.
The suspects were released on police bail and ordered to appear before Mahara Magistrate Court on 14th of October.

A Female Had Been Killed And Her Two Small Children Were Injured Due To A Wild Elephant Attack
A female had been killed and her two small children were injured and hospitalized due to a wild elephant attack occurred in Dangaswewa at Thanthirimale (In North Central Province) area today (08).
The injured children of the ages seven and three were admitted to the Anuradhapura General Hospital for treatment.

Two Youths Were Drowned Whilst Bathing In Weheragoda Tank
Two youths were drowned in Weheragoda Tank at Padiyathalawa (In Eastern Province)today (08)whilst bathing there it has been reported.
The drowned youth were later rescued but they have died after admission to the Padiyathalawa Hospital .The deceased were bathing with another two persons when they were drowned according to the reports.
