Two Shops Destroyed In Hali-Ela Due To A Landslide

Two small shops were completely destroyed due to a landslidw occurred at Hali-Ela  area in Badulla District this noom (15) it has been reported .The Landslide was occurred as a result of a Soil mound collapse it has been revealed.Two traders inside the shops which were destroyed  due to the landslide had escaped  unhurt it has beem reported.

As two large rocks also toppled over to the road authorities had  removed five shops in the area due to the landslide threats.

A Special Mission To Raid Dangerous Narcotics

 The Department of Police has launched an Island wide mission to raid Dangerous narcotics named as "Justice" it has been reported.

The aim of this mission is to control drug networks of dangerous narcotic smugglers snd distributors as well as taken them into custody and rehabilitate the drug addicts the Police have stated.A special  Office functioning 24 hours a day  in this regard is  schedule to setup at the Police department on 17 th of December it has been reported

Three Persons Were Injured Due To A Gun Shooting

 Three persons including a  17 year old youth had been injured and hospitalized due to a gun shooting incident occurred at a house in Walpola,Ragama yesterday (14) according to the Ragama Police. 

The injured were admitted to the Ragama Teaching Hospital for treatment.A group of persons arrived in a Motorcycle had fired gun shots towards the residents of the house it has been revealed.The reason behind the gun shooting has not yet been revealed the Police have stated.Ragama Police are conducting an ininVestigation over the incident .
