Eighteen Hour Water Cut In Three Areas Of Colombo Had Been Extended For Another 11 Hours
The 18 hour water cut implemented in
Colombo -13,Colombo -14 and Colombo-15 by the National water supplies and drainage board since 9 p.m last night(02) and scheduled to be ended at 3 p.m this evening has been extended until 2 a.m tomorrow(04)according to the Board .
Accordingly Water Board had extended the water cut from another 11 hours by putting residents of Grandpass, Modara,Mattakkuliya areas in an inconvenient position.
The watet cut was imposed to modernize a pipe line in the relevent ateas it has been announced . During the water cut Colombo fort amd pettah areas had received water with low preassure.

A Devotee Set Himself On Fire At Kataragama Devalaya
A devotee had committed suicide near
the Vishnu Devalaya attached to Kataragama Maha Devalaya this morning (03)by setting himself on fire it has been reported.
The fire spreads towards Vishnu Devalaya as well as the devotee has entered the Devalaya after setting himself on fire.
The critically injured devotee had been admitted to Kataragama District Hospital for treatment and later transferred him to Hambanthota Hospital where he had succumbed to his injuries.
The fire spreads to Vishnu devalaya had doused later .
The deceased was a resident of Ranminitanna,Tissamaharamaya area it has been revealed.The cause behind the incident has not yet been revealed.

Mobile Phones Of The Murdered Rathgama Businessmen Had Recovered
Police have recovered two mobile
phones belonging to two businessmen in Rathgama area who had been abducted and killed recently ,at a reservoir in Dikwella ,Matara today (03)according to Police Media Spokesman Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekara.
The two Mobile phones of the deceased businessmen had been recovered accordance to the informstion provided by a Wild life officer arrested regarding encouraging the killers to burn the deceased .
Police have also arrested a Police Constable regarding the killings.

Welikada Police have arrested three
females attached to a Brothal House maintaining on the pretext of an Ayurveda Massage Center(SPA) at Welikada area last night (02).
Accordingly police have arrested Two female sex workers attached to the Brothal house and the female manageress of it ,It has been revealed.
The three suspected females are of the ages 20,27 and 31 years old residents of Dankotuwa,Dayagama and Welipannagahamulla areas.They are due to be produced before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate court .

Arpumd 10 Acres Of Land In St.Clares Reserve Has Been Destroyed Due To A Fire
Around 10 acres of land belonging to a
reserve near Saint Clares water falls at Thalawakale had been destroyed due to a sudden fure erupted in the reserve this noon(03).
The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed and Police believes someone had purposley lit the fire which spreads rapidly due to the dry weather condition .
There's a threat of spreading the fire in to a nearby tea cultivation as well it has been reporred.

Seventeen Persons Had Been Arrested With 1.500 Grammes Of Cocaine And Narcotic Tablets
Seventeen persons including Fourteen
males and three females had been arrested by the Police officers attached to Anti corruption unit of the Matara division this noon(03)with 1.500 Grammes of Cocaine and narcotic tablets in their possession at a Hotel in Polhena,Matara.
The suspects who are of the ages 18-23 years are due to be produced before the Matara Magistrate court tomorrow(04).

Police have arrested two Nigerian
Nationals and a Three Wheeler driver whilst transporting 32 Grammes of Cocaine stored inside two Contraceptive pills in a Three Wheeler near Bakery Junction in Mount Lavinia today (03).
The stock of Cocaine taken in to custody in possession of the Suspects is worth more than Rs.500,000 it has been revealed .
Mount Lavinia police have also talen in to custody the Three wheeler which used to transport the narcotics and Rs.162,700 in posssion of the two.Nigerian nationals .
The two suspected Nigerian Nationals had stayed in Sri Lanka since April 2018 without visas it has been revealed.They are due to be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court .
