Seven New Ministers Including Minister Of Health Have Been Sworn In Before President

 Seven Ministers including the new Health Minister  have been sworn in before President Gotanaya Rajapakshe yesterday (16) .under the new Cabinet reshuffle .

Accordingly Minister of Power Dallas Alahapperuma had been sworn in as the new Minister of Media ,Minister of Transport Gamini Lokuge had been sworn in as New Minister of Power ,Minister Of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi had been sworn in as new Minister of Transport ,Minister Of Media Keheliya Rambukwrlla had been sworn in as Minister Of Health ,Minister Of Education Professor G.L Pieris had been sworn in as Minister of Foreigh affairs and Minister of Foreigh Affairs Dinesh Gunswardane  had been sworn in as new Minister of Education .

sports Minister Namal Rajapakshe had been sworn in as Minister of Supervising Development in addition to his Sports Minister portfolio .

3466 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (16)

 A total of 3466 Corona positives including 52 foreign arrivals had hern identified yesterday  (16) in thrv coubtry ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 362,074  according to Durectir General Of Health .

At the moment 43,921 Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals and quarantine centers .

Another 2325 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals and quarantine centers yesterday (16).

 

167 Corona Deaths' Reported Today (16)

 Another 167 Corona deaths had been reported today (16) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 6263 According to Director General Of Health Services ,

Accordingly 103 Males and 64 females had died due to Corona infection and out of the deceased 130 were of the ages over 60 years .it has been revealed ,

Government To Impose Six Hour Daily Night Time Quarantine Curfew From 10 P.M Today (16)

 Government has decided to impose a daily night time quarantine  Curfew from 10 p.m to 4 a.m nest day with effect from tonight (16) in view of curbing  the surge of Corona infections in the country ,

This night curfew will be imposed from today until further notice .Meanwhile government authorities have said that the night curfew is being imposed to prevent holding parties and functions which had been identified as  Corona hotspots .
