A Stock Of 728,460 doses of Astra-Zeneca Vaccines Is Scheduled To Be Arrived In Sri Lnka This Saturday (31)

 Sri Lanka is due to receive 728,460 doses of Oxford=Astra  zeneca vaccines this Saturday (31) from Japan under the "Covax"scheme  of World Health Organization .These doses are mainly scheduled to be used  as the second dose of those who had only received the first dose of the vaccine it has been announced  

Around 540.000 persons  are due to be vaccinated through these doses according
to Health Officials .

A Gem Cluster Weighing 510 KG Which Has Been Found From Ratnapura To Be Auctioned In China

 A cluster of Sapphires recovered from a private land in Kahawatte ,Ratnapaura few months back whilst digging the ground is worth more than US Dollars 200 million according to the National Gem And Jewelry Authority .The 510 Kilo gramme Sapphire cluster is due to be auctioned at a fair scheduled to be held in China this September the authorities had revealed .

It is also known as the World's biggest cluster of gems recovered from a single place ,

However some Gem experts are on the view that the Sapphire cluster found from a private land is not worth much as mentioned by Gems and Jewelry Authority ,

Meanwhile State Minister Lohan Ratwatte has today stated that the government will receive 10 percent of the value of this  Gem cluster when once it is sold ,

Another 1919 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (28)

 A total of 1919 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (28) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 301,832 according to Director General Of Health Services  ,

At the moment 25.782 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals and quarantine centers it has been revealed ,

63 Corona Deaths Reported Today (28)

 A total of 63 Corona deaths had been reported today(28) ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 4258 according to Director General Of Health Services .

Accordingly 35 males and 28 females had died due to Covid Pneumonia and complications related to non communicable diseases it  has been revealed ,

The majority of the deceased which is 51 were over the ages of 60 Years according to reports ,
