Eleven Crew Members Of A Merchant Ship Met With An Accident Have Been Rescued By The Navy
Sri Lanka Navy have today(26) rescued eleven crew members including a Captian of a Merchant ship sailed under the "Dominica"flag and met with an accident in a sea area 11 nautical miles from Colombo Harbor.
Navy have rescued the 11 crew members of the Ship including 10 Sri Lankans with the Ship Captain and a Indonesian National by using two fighter boats.

A Person Was Arrested While Attempting To Smuggle A Stock Of "Wallapatta"
Airport Customs have arrested a 33 year old person while attempting to smuggle 18.200 Kilo grammes of an expensive "Wallapatta"(Gyrinops Walla)illegally to Dubai at the Katunayake Bandaeanaike International Airport today(26).
The estimated value of the stock of "Wallapatta"taken in to custody by the Airport Customs in possession of the suspect is around Rs.1.26 million it has been revealed.
The suspect is a resident of Kuruwita,Ratnapura.

Death Of A Six Year Old School Girl In Jaffna Has Been Proved As A Murder
The six year old School Girl whose body was recovered in a well at Sulipuram in Jaffna yesterday (25) was strangled to death it has been revealed during the Post mortum held regarding her death at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
Bruises and injuries had seen in the neck area of the deceased the Police have stated.
Waddukoddai Police have arrested four persons regarding the murder of the School Girl according to reports.

A Body Of A Six Year Old School Girl Was Recovered In A Well
A Body of a six year old school girl with the School uniform had recovered in a well at Sulipuram in Jaffna last evening (25) according to the Waddukoddai Police.
The body had recovered during a search operation carried out to search the school girl who was not return home from the School.The Body was sent to the Jaffna Teaching Hospiatl for the post mortum.
The deceased School Girl was identified as a six year of S.Regina resided in Sulipuram,Jaffna.She was a student attached to a Government Tamil mixed School.

An Elderly French National Was Killed Due To A Road Accident
A 78 year old French National was killed after colliding with a Bus traveling from Wellawaya to Ella area while crossing the road in Wellawaya-Ella road this morning (26) it has been reported.
The critically injured French national had succumbed to his injuries on admission to Wellawaya Hospital.

A Female Was Arrested With 6.170 Grammes Of Heroin
Police have arrested a 25 year old female was arrested with 6.170 Grammes of Heroin in her possession at Sammetpura in Mattakkuliya area last night(25).
The suspected female who was arrested during a special raid carried out in the area is a resident of Sameetpura area.

A 45 year old person had committed suicide by jumping in front of a Train traveling from Colombo to Badulla at Watagoda Train Station in Thalawakale area this noon(26) it has been reported.
